    This car is ready, looks great and will be launched at Frankfurt 2011. Early issues with 458 have slowed down production and altered release date of spyder.

    Any word on soft top vs hardtop? Some said something about hardtop patents a while back. Pretty sure it looks fantastic either way.

    Icemanbops has been incredibly accurate with details regarding new models pre-public introduction. I think he's past the point of asking his sources.

    I, for one, really appreciate his info on upcoming models.

    In the new EVO, they are saying the 458 Spider will be a softop and not a hardtop ala California.

    I think it would be neat if they offered both a hardtop option and a soft-top option. :)

    I've heard the working title is RHT - retractable hard top

    Think along the lines of the Miata - simple design where roof slots in vertically behind the driver.

    Looks more like a removable targa top style roof then a true convertible..... still looks pretty sweet though.
