We should probably take a tally here. I think this will be very useful. Kindly submit your vote! My vote is for heinous. Just the most awful thing Ferrari could ever do. Now's not the time to reinvent the wheel!
I thought all the FF threads got merged.... Anyway, I agree it certainly doesn't photograph well. Looks like a Z3M from the side - the front bonnet is hideous in the photos. Fugly, IMO. But Bdelp assures me that the did NOT have Jedi in mind when the designed it Jedi
I don't know about this "photograph well" stuff. Ferrari is the best at taking glamor shots. It's a hatchback, and a hatchback is a hatchback
It causes discomfort to look at, much like the "tip jar" at Starbucks. Hey Luca, Subaru called, they want their business model back.
Looks like a stretched out Z3 hatchback abortion or some sort. Missed the mark in my opinion. Actually makes the 612 look SEXY.
News flash Ferrari issued press release today: "We apologize for any confusion in the error of our release yesterday, the new Ferrari 2+2 is not called the FF; the correct name is the WTF. Upon reflection of the new design from Pininfarina, we believe this name will make this fine automobile unforgettable!" Ironically Pininfarina also had a press release "This will teach Ferrari to take their design in house, this may be our last design for Ferrari, but we think we made quite a statement!"
I am going to watch this closely, as I am sure are those those Ferrari marketing personal who lurk around here.....
I like it a lot but cant say I 'love' it. Very few modern designs I love. Of course I love the BMW M coupe. I still have to turn my head to watch when one goes past which is something I cant say about the 612. Opinions on design are interesting as most people forget 'taste' is subjective.
The survey is a bit deceivng. You would think that most dislike it from the way the poll is presented. But, in fact, if you separate those who hate it from those who are OK with it to those you love it, you get more people in favor of the car than against. There's always a way to distort statistics.
Not sure i agree. The way I read it,... the first 2 choices dislike the design. Seems like overwhelming dislike to me (in early polling)
I dont like it at all. That hatchback rear spoils it. Would have been nice if Ferrari tried to 'refine' the 612 design, not come out with all new design like this. I dont mind the 612, a better styled 612 would have been the go IMO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think this should be: What do you think about the looks of the Ferrari FF from the pics so far?" Because its hard to have a real opinion of the looks of something when you haven't seen it IRL. A person can be photogenic or not.. so does car. When the 599 came out, I remember so many people said the 599 didn't look like a real Ferrari, looks like a Supra or Viper Or Vette.. The single rear lights was just weird.. And now? Every 599 GTO is almost a piece of art.
Bob- I read it the way you do, ~41% who really do not like it and the rest can tolerate it or better. Taz Terry Phillips
I love it, like a modern breadvan. Add to that the performance and the AWD and you've got a seriously usable exotic.
Disagree. They photograph much better than yesterday's When you see a 250GT or a 308, those cars blow you away because they seem larger than life in photos as there is almost no way to gauge their diminutive size. I own a 328 and am still amazed at it's small proportion in 'real life'. The new cars are just as big in person as they appear in photos.
The only pattern I see is that people's tastes are varied and it is impossible to please everyone. For every car you or someone else doesn't like, there are many others that do.
FF mightnt be one of the most beautiful Ferrari, but I dont hate it. I believe Ferrari engineer filling many F1 technology stuffs into this new car. Who know I might acquire one when I get ready by age n family requirement This is definitely a Ferrari for mid-age guy who wanna go golfing, but gettng bored of his Bentley on that day
From the picture I have seen, I don't like it all. I well prefer the 612 which is "classe". I couldn't believe the FF was replacing the 612 but felt more that the FF was a new range of Ferrari cars, a bit like a California/Italia mixture. Just as the Italia, I miss the smooth lines of the older Ferrari cars like the 355. Now the FF is going even more towards the Japanese tuning style like the GTR. I can hardly identify Ferrari anymore...Wait and see when I'll see the FF for real at the upcoming Geneva motorshow
