No question Jim... and I'm not being a F car cheerleader here. The F12 is much better looking. It looks like Chrysler stole the front grill from Alfa and the side came off the the 2012 Daytona. If you compare the 8C to the Viper, the Viper looks really ugly IMO. The cars are too similar for them to not be directly comparable. It's a hodge podge of conflicting lines that looks like a committee designed. The original Viper was soooooooo much better looking. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jim, I think that is a bad angle for the Viper; to me the front looks scrunched and the back inflated. I think this is a bit better angle for both... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the new viper, I just happen to like the F12 more. The viper is a little to evolutionary for me, but I guess we'll have to see how the revolutionary style of the F12 holds up against time.
Tough call for me, but I'm going with the F12. I'd like to see the Viper with a 5 spoke wheel design; I think the current wheels are too busy.
To me the F12 looks like a Ferrari but the viper doesn't. I don't really like the front of the viper nor the hood. I like to save all final judgements until I see it in person so I'll have to report back to you guys in a year.
I keep going back to the viper, and it's definitely the child in me doing so. The F12 looks so clean and precise, as you'd expect, whereas the viper looks like the pissed off beast ready to eat anything it comes across on the highway. Both great looking cars either way, but for me the viper has more attitude in its design
I like the new Viper.. but there's just something weird with it I can't put my finger on. Maybe the front lights are too small and too "asian-ish". The angle also looks weird.
I would say F12. The new Viper´s front reminds me of the SLS, don´t know why, maybe the shape of the front lights...
I love everything about the Viper past the front lugs. It's Comp Coupe meets Gen II. The front may grow on me, but I'd really like to see it in a darker color before making a final call. Too much going on up there for a bold hue (on first look).
Ferrari: not great, but good. Viper: more of the same, just ok. I like the side exhaust. Any news about what is under the hood?
Manufacturers seem to be keeping their designers on a very tight leash these days. Sequel rather than bold new direction for most of them. Design cue 'bits from the past' seem to be recycled rather than going forward with unique new ideas. The F12 seems the more 'unique' of the two. CH
Neither are good looking cars, but the F12 is much better proportioned than the Viper. Frankly the Viper is horrible. Older one looked much better.
