Can people help me build this list, I grabbed it from anothe forum, but it's very incomplete, for example on youtube there's a black enzo cruising around London (with uk plates) but he isn't on the list down as a black enzo british businessman.

With regards to the list, there are/will be quite a few people who could/will know the whereabouts of just about every car, but I think information like this is,

If you know, then you know, or at least know someone you can contact to give you some further info, however if you don't know then really you don't need to know.

I may be wrong but I would not be too happy if my details was on a list some where I had no idea about for anybody to view ( I imagine quite a few bankers may agree ). I suppose it is different if you had personally published details of it yourself as an owner or given permission like a magazine article ect.

Good luck with your list though but I think it should be kept private.

The guy who posted this list obviously got the information from public sources, so why bust his balls? We keep a record of historically significant Ferraris, so what is wrong with someone wanting to preserve ownership history. Who knows, some hollywood actor might wreck and Enzo it might be restored and offered for sale. If the buy is unaware of its history, he could be taken for, ahem, a ride.

    + 1 other than.....
So we can be inspired / motivated to own more than one ? or two? 3 is just wrong....

Owners generally keep ownership to themselves/friends/meets etc as many have said...
Even I know/have met owners not on that list ...no Im not telling....

Apologies if this has been such an upsetting thread...

like I said in the first post, the moderators or admins can delete it at their decision.

I just wonder what you guys think of known bugatti owners threads lol.

It appears most of this list is edited off wikipedia, and made into a list.

But then there's some that don't mind the publicity (below picture)

That doesn't mean anything, them rappers will show off their cars anytime, each new video, latest car...

And...... don't forget the arab princes that come to London, Paris, Monaco just to show off in even more expensive cars than the Enzo.

I'm pretty sure Pharrell doesn't own the enzo any longer.

You've underscored the point most are making by your own post showing Pharrell W driving the black Enzo that he no longer owns!

Any enthusiasm of these cars must be applauded and we cant fault you for that at all.

But, given the private nature of many Enzo transactions, the private disposition of many who these cars, and the frequency with which some of them change hands, having an ownership register is a bit like a dog chasing its tail: a nigh-on impossible task.

I can understand how an original list was developed based on those who received the cars when new, and compiling this probably seemed like fun.

It would be far more beneficial to chart chassis numbers of individual cars, because a meaningful register can be compiled, and unlike an ownership list, no matter who currently owns the car the list is never really obsolete.

    Best,

What is the point of owning a car like an Enzo if it can't be public knowledge? Just sit and stare at it in the garage?

    IMHO a childish attitude.

The cars will always be public knowledge, as well as some of the owners. However, a significant percentage of Enzo owners are the type of people who dont want their name to be published all over the internet, and successfully take steps to ensure that this does not happen. This is their choice. Im sure you can understand it from this point of view.

I fully understand the need to keep a record but having owners lists to me seems a bit pointless, chassis number lists to me have some value for the reasons you describe. Put simply I was just courious as to the motivation for a ownership history list.

Of course. I understand. I just think it is childish.

    Edit.
I think it is equally childish to hang around outside an owners property just to get a glimse of the car. Or follow the cars home.

i dont see what the big deal is. most people wealthy enough to own an enzo are in some way shape or form public figures and more than the cars they own are being discussed online

i dont own an enzo but i cant sneeze without my 'fans' knowig about it and talking on certain forums.

these are what they sarcastically call 'white people problems'

I agree this thread is random and also has very outdated info. But please keep in mind that we already have a very old and long Enzo owners thread. Heck, we even have a thread dedicated to North American Enzo owner demographics!!! So why is this weird? Why is there no issues with the 288GTO thread that has many owners names in it? Or other dedicated model threads for that matter?

I'm all for respect for privacy and what not. I just find it mind boggling how thoughts on privacy differ from thread to thread...

    Sorry, rant over :D

There seems to be a double standard when it comes to information, history, owner(s), serial numbers, etc., pertaining to vintage Ferraris as opposed to contemporary models. It's interesting to say the least.

I tend to find that the more valuable the car, the less comfortable certain owners are with having their names published publicly.

But, at the end of the day, its is what it is, different owners have different feelings, I just try to understand it, because objecting to it isn't going to make one iota of difference to a particular owner's feelings as to how public he would like to be about ownership.

I deal with the entire spectrum from completely reclusive to world famous, and I'm cool with whatever.
