I decided to cap off an already epic morning drive with the FOG gang (video coming soon!) by attacking every tunnel in the beautiful city of San Francisco. Some eardrums were harmed during the making of this video.

    Enjoy!

    Yes, but no Scuds!!!

    Great video.

Makes me want to go out to the garage and hug my car.

Liked it, liked it a LOT!

Thanks or sharing. I'm liking these GoPro's so much that I just picked up the GP3 Black edition last Friday. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

    More vids please!

Awesome video! Is that filmed with a Gopro (1, 2 or 3?) and the internal mic? Or did you use an external mic?

    Thanks guys!

I used an external mic (cheapest one I found off fleaBay :D) and a DIY furry wind shade to cut out wind noise.

I haven't used my new Hero3's yet because they haven't made the exo-skeleton case that would allow me to run my external mic, so still on the Hero2 for now.

Where did you put the mic? It records the sound very good for a cheap mic :)

I've tried multiple places thus far with the same great results (even w/o the fuzzy wind shade); basically just anywhere near the exhaust will do the job hehe

I like putting it just above the plates and I use 3M blue tape to keep it in place.

Edit: I do notice a drop in sound when running too long of a cord...I guess one would need some sort of booster to keep the sound quality high.

Great video. I think you are becoming the official Scud videographer. I can't wait to see what you can do when you get your other equipment on the job! :)

It almost looks like everyone surrenders the tunnel to him. Nice!

Thanks for the help! I've also noticed that a mic close to the exhaust gets the best results. But havent tried it with a furry dead cat yet :)

Enjoyed very much - thank you!

    - can't believe the traffic
    - the accompanying music was perfect
    - loved the wave-bys you gave so you could nail Tunnel 3 alone
    - those poor pedestrians inside those tunnels!!!

Did you drive through Alice's in Woodside yesterday morning? I went with the 6speed group - the lone italian in a group of germans. Some helpful bikers thought I was lost and said "The Ferrari guys left a couple of minutes ago".
I checked the FOG thread but didn't see anything. :(

Freshmeat, I am curious, does your Scud have a stock Ferrari Scud exhaust system? I don't recall if you have ever mentioned that on any of the other threads.
