Lingenfelter 427 Z06 vs Black Enzo

hi ..the z06 driver wanted me to post this...i work cavellinos front gates with eric and well i was fortunate enough to see a lingenfelter vette. i asked for a ride and as we pulled out of the gates a black enzo was in front of us going out on b-line as we were..as soon as we both hang a left onto b-line we both nailed it....hit alot of traffic..weaved in and out bumper to bumper..had about 2 miles of str8t and at the top of 5th in the z06 (180mph) we passed the enzo on the right and than he gave up....long story short ( sorry guys, if u want to see the video, ill have it at cavellino at the breakers tomoro morning)...on that note, it was the most amazing race let alone expierence ever. o and we beat an enzo.haha..

p.s. the enzo was giving a test drive to a intrested buyer...and lost to a lingenfelter z06...people said it sounded like le mans on b line highway from inside moroso! hahah

Like all cars, the Enzo can be beaten. There are faster cars, but the fact that the Corvette needed those modifications (not saying its not a fast and great car) to beat the Enzo just shows ya something. Also, More people will look at an Enzo then a Vette, and once you get in twisties, the Enzo will leave you in the dust.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I'd still like to see that video though.

Well then I guarante the Enzo driver wasn't going full on....
The 427 Ligenfelter ZO6s are bad ass, they run about the same 1/4
times as a Enzo, but on slicks the the Enzos street tires.....

And on a top end roll the Vette would lose do to its numerically
higher gears....I had a C5 Vette, there sweet cars, but in a different league IMO.

Don't you think he may have backed off due to "the interested buyer" sitting next to him?

that was just my guess about the passanger being a intrested buyer...but anyhow, i agree with the z06 losing in the twisties and the enzo getting more looks but again the price differences are incrediblly different and losing to a half a million dollar car what make me feel stooopid..anyway, i can have the video online by next week...right now its on a vhs tape..but the orginal was recorded on a digital videocamera..i would love to know if the guy we raced is on this forum...?

I'm not a particular fan of the Enzo but I would drive an Enzo limited to 60mph for a year before driving a Vette of any kind all the time.

That Vette is fast but it blends in with the 6,000 Vettes I see every year.

Maybe another way to put it..... "when the big boys hit the street, no one will be turning their head to notice your Vette, let alone care if its a street or race version".

Everyone I know, lives next to someone that drives a Vette to the office 5 days a week. Nice sports car, but America's most common site.

I'm quite sure a 427TT Lingenfelter Vette would absolutely cremate an Enzo on the top end.

You ignorant loser...how can u compare a car with turbo against one that's NA ?

You mean to say that a street punk high on steroids can sqeeze the nuts out of your sags ?

You wanna race...go look for an Enzo with turbos... and see if you can make such stupid "victorious statements" !

Enuf said...coz I've no respect for someone ( with heavy mods like turbos ) who claims victory over an NA car !!!

Sounds like the "racing course" was more or less a straight line on the B. Lets put the cars on the track at Moroso or Sebring and we'll see which garners the better time.

I hope I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds like you were on public streets and not on the track.

If so, I'm not impressed. A couple of dumba$$es in an improptu race with innocent unsuspecting drivers in the way does not determine which car is the best. Neither car was anywhere near its performance limit at only 180 mph, but the consequences of an accident at that speed would have been catastrophic.

All I can say is I hope when you kill yourselves that you don't hurt anybody else in the process. It's people like you two that give high-performance cars a bad name. Take action like this to the track where everyone has accepted the risks of high-speed driving. Better yet, ask to ride along with an ambulance team so you can see how lives are ruined by a high-speed accident.

If this was on the track, my apologies for assuming wrong.

there are turbo'd 1990 honda civics that can run faster 1/4 miles than the enzo..... u pretty much proved how ignorant you are and would probably make a childish statement like taking one of those over an enzo.... eeeeewww... hit the vette boards already.....
