A tubi is the best exhaust on the market today for a 348 the only other option is a ferrari challenge exhaust but very hard to find now capristo sounds great but looks crap on the 348

From what I have read on previous threads, they sound totally different from one another. Personally, I have never been disappointed in the ANSA sound, tight and high. I have read that the Tubi is substantially different, but I would recommend you search through previous threads with those same two search words to learn more. Much has been said on the topic.

Ansa are the supplier for all Ferrari, Maserat, Alfa, Fiat standard exhausts.
A tubi is a approved sports exhaust.

The Tubi is highly polished stainless steel.

ANSA is aluminized steel.

If a lot of people crawl around under your car, I guess you'd spend the extra money for Tubi. From the driver's seat the ANSA is clearly better, with money left over for drinks!

Sound is definately different, ANSA is proper for the older cars and now makes fitment for later models, as well.

Thanks guys, many old threads had their links to sound clips lost when this site was down. I've found some clips to links from Japanese sites as well. I guess I'll have to save up more for a new Tubi or Ansa sports since a used one is almost impossible to find. I've heard some owners who swapped their tubi for Ansa sports for a more quiet sound & higher pitch. Anyone knows where to find & how much for a Koenig?

Please post the links to sound clips if you still have them handy....

Clearly a matter of taste. I crawl around under and over my 348 so the Tubi is a welcome sight. Regarding sound, nothing in an 8 cylinder Ferrari sounds like a 348 with Tubi and test pipes! At least from my driver's seat!

Koenig

I reached to them for pricing for a 348 just a few day ago. They said that it would cost $3,900 US plus $250 to ship to NY. OOOOOOUCH! More than a Tubi. They said each one is made to order, no stock and takes ~ 2 weeks.

TUBI

I removed a TUBI from my '95 355 Spider because I hated the boomey drone from 2500-3500rpm, which you get around town quite a bit. On Norwood's advice, I sold the Tubi on Ferrarichat and bought the ANSA Performance series exhaust and I am very happy with the change. My car nut buddies agree that the whole sound, from idle to full wail is better with the ANSA.

Would love to hear a sound clip if you ever get the time to do it....

Anybody ever do dyno runs to see just what these do, or don't do? Before I'd get any one of them, I'd like to know if they improve the performance, or just make more noise....

Most all Ferraris came from the factory with Ansa exhaust systems. All Boxers came with an Ansa four can exhaust. An Ansa two can "sports" exhaust was offered so it should not result in a points deduction at an FCA concours. I did lose points at the FFQC because my Ansa "sports" exhaust was cermanic coated though,

Boy, THAT's splitting hairs!

Did you receive your numerical score?

I went for more smoked salmon and missed getting mine. I know I lost points for my fog lights by P.O., and maybe the whiskey bottles........

If I recall correctly Ansa supplied all those quality headers to Ferrari for the f355. Ask the many smiling 355 owners about Ansa quality!
Actually I had Ansa systems on my former Euro 308 and Euro TR. Was very pleased with both quality and sound.
As with anything on these cars, whatever makes you smile!
