FCHAT Meeting @ 11.Modena Motorsport Ferrari Track Days 2005
My dear friends,
lets have a ferrarichat.com meeting and party during the 11. Modena Motorsport Ferrari Track Days 2005! 21.-23 July 2005 (Thursday-Saturday) That’s a wonderful and profssional organized meeting since 10 years. The location is close for everybody – Nürburg Ring F1 track Germany. The prices are very moderate. Drive your Ferrari at the famous F1 track! Helmet compulsory – even for the passengers!!!!!!! Lets meet some fchaters! Lets see and watch racing over 20 original Ferrari F1 cars from the `50th - `00 !!!!! The most amazing come together of vintage Ferraris – see list at the end from 2003. Thursday, Friday track days – Saturday Rallye. Please have a look to the Hotels. Prices are also very cheap ( Euro: 60,- singel room) but hurry up for reservations!!!!! Twelve years ago, Modena Motorsport invited friends and customers to a very special event to give every participant the unique chance to drive their cars in a small and relaxed familiar atmosphere. Uwe Meissner is looking back at 22 years of Modena Motorsport. His company, headquartered in Langenfeld, in close proximity to Leverkusen and Cologne, is specialized in exclusive classic cars, Sport and Formula 1 Racing cars alike. Over the years this event has gained an outstanding reputation amongst participants from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Luxembourg, Costa Rica, and other countries. Guests such as Jacky Ickx, Nicki Lauda, Maurice Trintignant, Jan Lammers have been regular participants. The event has grown into an event of international interest and photo journalists and camera teams are very welcome. In 2003, this event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the company, enjoyed the participation of 23 F1 Ferrari cars. Also the Concours d’Elegance gained much interest with participants and press alike. Mr. Meissner and his team are inviting you to take part in the event this year. Six times Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx and other drivers have already confirmed their participation. ACT I Ferrari Track Days Location: Nurburgring (GP Track) Date: Thursday 21 and Friday 22 of July 2005 Eligible cars: Classic Road and Competition Ferraris (1948-1973) 200 € / 2 days Modern Ferraris, Dinos and Maserati (1974-heute) 200 € / 2 days Ferrari and non-Ferrari Formula cars of all decades Free of charge Modern sportscars of other marks 350 € / 2 days Super Sports Cars like Ford GT 40, Alfa T 33 Daytona, McLaren F1 GTR, Porsche 906, 908, 910, 917, Iso Daytona, Bizzarrini, ..... 350 € / 2 days These costs do not cover the actual costs of renting the track, safety posts, rescue cars, Dunlop Launch, etc, and are subsidized by ‚Modena Motorsport’ Only registered drivers are allowed on the track. Participants may be accompanied by their families, mechanics and truck drivers at no additional charge. Drivers and codrivers MUST wear crash helmets. Every participant will have the chance to take their vehicle on the track at least 3 times per day. A detailed schedule will be available. Ferrari fans will also be able to see all the vehicle close up. This event is open to the general public. Spectators may purchase tickets for € 25 per person at the entrance of the new paddock in front of the tunnel. The ticket is valid basicly on both days and is not transferable. Cars produced before 1950 would fall into classes 1 & 2. The Concours d’élegance is open to cars manufactured by Ferrari SpA, and the previous names by which the company was known, including both road and race Dino models. Jacky Ickx, the six-time Le Mans winner, will hand the prizes over to each class winner during the prize-giving to which the media is kindly invited. Due to time limitations and logistics all Ferraris in the main parking areas and pit garages will be eligible assuming the owner has completed all of the requested details on the entry form. It will be a purely visual Concours d'élégance, with an emphasis on originality of appearance, specification, and parts fitted. This negates the necessity for the owner to be present to open the car, check operation and functions etc, which would obviously be impractical given the nature of the meeting and time available. It will be assumed that all cars run, as they would have been driven to the circuit, or would be being run on the track. Similarly due to nature of the Ferrari Track Days and the frequent inclement weather in the area, light road/track soiling will not be taken into account, nor will brake dust on the wheels or carbon deposits in the exhaust system. REPLICAS AND CONVERSIONS WILL NOT BE JUDGED Except for competition cars modified in period by an authorised concessionaire. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL There will be no verbal or written comments provided to or by any party relative to the results. Members of the Jury: Jean-Louis Bezemer (The Netherlands), Andreas Birner (Germany), Keith Bluemel (Great Britain), Marcel Massini (Switzerland), Hilary Raab (USA) and Manfred Lampe (Spain) ACT III Adventure Tour Location: The scenic Eifel area with all it’s beauty Date: Saturday, 23 of July 2005 Program: This adventure rally will depart between 8.00 - 8:15 am from the ‚Adventure World’ parking lot at the Nürburgring. The rally will cover a total distance of 220km. The rally will take you through the picturesque Eifel region. We have deliberately selected small and less travelled (yet all paved) roads, which will take you through the valleys of the Eifel region. After about one hour you will be provided with a second breakfast with a subsequent stop at Europe’s largest collection of nativity sets and the newly opened exhibition ‘world of dolls’, exhibiting well over 500 dolls aged from 1780 upwards. This will raise your pulse and exceed all of your expectations. Next we are off to the village of Dasburg, a small village at the Luxemburg border counting a total of 300 inhabitants. Here all of the cars will be displayed amongst the village and beside the ruins, the symbol of the city. Lunch will be served and there is plenty of time for gasoline talk while enjoying the magnificent sights of the surrounding countryside. After lunch we will depart for Daleiden, a mere 7 km, where we will visit a botanic paradise with its unique collection of orchids and an alpine garden. You will see well over 1,000 kinds of orchids amongst an array of other unique plants. While visiting you may stop at the Tropic café where you may enjoy coffee and cake. The rest of the journey will take you through picturesque villages along the many streams and rivers – you will enjoy every mile of this drive. The next stop will take you to Kyllburg; with 1180 inhabitants the smallest town of Rhineland Palatia. The cars will be parked not far from the local church where you will take a guided tour of the many passageways. This is considered as one of the most spectacular of its kind between Trier and the convent of Laria-Laach, which we have visited back in 2003. The roadbook is written in English language and has little text. Sketches will guide you along the route. We ask that you observe all local traffic laws, and above all, no speeding! This adventure rally will finish around 6pm. We recommend that you soend the evening relaxing at the ‘Rieder hotel’ and continue your journey on Sunday morning. You may catch a good nights sleep and be well prepared for your trip home. The entry fee for day is €150.00 per person and includes the second breakfast and admission fee to both exhibitions, lunch, admission fee to the orchid garden and coffee, and entry to the convent. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel are not included in this price. Thank you very much for your invitation - I belive you can count us in for this event. According to your list from '03 I belive I FINALLY may be lucky of seeing a 250 GTO!!  among tons of other beautiful oldtimers, so I think this might be THE event of '05.When it comes to the location of this event, then its NO problem for us - we just take the same route as we did last year for the FRD 04, fly to Frankfurt Hahn and rent a car there. I do have a "ton" of questions, but I think I have to give you a call later on If you have any idea of which cars/models that will participate this year, please post it in this thread when time goes on. We are not sure we can join you at this event, because we have to move to another appartment arround that time (between 15th July-1st August) still not certain which date it will be!!! Was thinking of doing a track day at Spa fri 22 July but maybe i can combine the two events!!
Having some fun at Spa on friday and drive to the nurburgring in the evening or saturdaymorning to watch some very nice cars!! Thanks for the info!!! Guy

Meeting point: Paddock at my Testarossa....I`ll check from time to time. Whats up with the Saturday Rallye???? Anybody else? Hotels: Please do your reservation right in time!!!! I have laready booked/confirmed for the Hotel Rieder.
