Contact [email protected] if you have an interest in the event. This was a note sent to members today: Hello Everyone, Scott Flavell informs me that his sign ups are coming in very slowly for this June's track event. Right now, we're nowhere near where we need to be to put on this event. The track is requiring that we commit and put a deposit down on the configuration we choose no later than May 15. Accordingly, if you're thinking about signing up but haven't done that yet, you need to get in touch with Scott immediately. If we don't reach critical mass by May 15, the event will not be economically doable and we'll have to cancel. Let's not let that happen! Thanks... Craig
Other details, Fontana, half oval, half road course, $650 and June 2...if you need anymore info let Scott know. He has all of the info... Craig PS, I had a friend that did this last time and he said you get alot of track time.
Dave, If this doesn't work out for you, FDC will be hosting a track day on Sunday, June 19th (yes, weekend day!) at California Speedway on the infield course (no oval, a bit safer)... details are on our website. $315 for members, $365 for non-members. It will be a joint day with Lamborghini club... should be fun! (btw, sorry for hijacking the thread) Byron
Byron, Seems like there can be no better way to warm up for the June 19th track day than to run on June 2nd as well!
Amen to that!! Although for me, it's going to be tough... a weekday event doesn't bode well for the meetings I have scheduled during the day... Byron
So Dave posts because he wants to save the FOC drive and you post another track day to lure people away, then you post that you are "sorry" for a hijack and then you slam the event all together because it's on a weekday? NICE
I attended last years track day w/ Scott and it was very well run and lots of track time. Anyone interested in this type of event is strongly encouraged to do so. You will not regret it.
Yayo for 3 C? You boys buying talcum powder? Way to go Byron... Personally, I'd prefer to run a track day with fewer people on a weekday. Less weekend-warrior idiots runnign around. Hope your event works out Craig! --Dan
How do we contact Scott? I am interested. P.S. Byron - weak move hijacking this thread to tout your competing drive.
Leave Byron alone!, he is pretty dedicated, I am all in favor of more track days, more the better! I heard the last one held during the week was very very lightly attended and the result was Fontana raceway all to yourself, a pretty rare treat. Either day, should be fun. Do what works best for your schedule with no hard feelings either way. For the FOC details, send an email to craig listed below.
Thanks, Dave... my original post was never meant to "hijacK" anything to lure people away... the more track events the better! I'm all for that! Have fun on the 2nd!! Byron
Can't you guy's piss in your shoes instead of all over each other?? Track days are great. Let's go have some fun! Rick
