I remember going to that location once back when I was like 8 years old. My dad used to work in an office building about 2 blocks away from there.

 

I believe Norwood did several of those GTO conversions over the years.

 

C'mon Matt, don't you know me at all? It's a JOKE!

 

My dentist was 1/2 block away and I would float down to Norwood's after I was gassed up and drool over all the amazing stuff.

I THINK he was still on Tracy in 1990, prior to the Mockingbird location, then to the I-35/NW Hwy location. I can't remember the dates of the moves. Part of me thinks he might have even been back on Tracy between the last two.

 

My first visit was 2000 or 2001. That was the NW hwy/I35 location. Bob moved out of there and ran his stuff from Rockwall in 2003.

I remember a red 288 replica, a yellow P4 replica, parts of the 308 funny car, and the black Carmack 288 GTO.

Did the Carmack car ever get done ?

 

The car was recently sold. From the pics I saw it looked complete and as though it had run at some point, but it was unclear whether it was running when purchased. Apparently does have the Batten engine which was intended for the car.

 

And the Olds Aero body hanging on the wall.
