Attached are some before and after pics for the following:
    15mm spacers front (type 1)
    25mm spacers rear (type 2)
    slick shift gate
    New shift knob
    Drilled pedal set
The easiest install is the shift knob / gate.
The pedals and spacers took about 1 hour for each upgrade. About a three hour poject start to finish. Still undecided on the SF shields if they would be good installed or not.
The wheel pictures indicate three before shots, jackpoints used front and rear, alignment pegs that need to be removed, rear spacers installed, rear wheel completed, old track, new track, and a comparo of the project pre and post spacers.

The slick shift gate and knob are nice and easy to install. Takes about ten minutes.
I also got the dead pedal replacement, but it is smaller than the stock rubber piece. It may be because I have a very early model 348. If the Hurricanes can just beat Clemson today it will make the weekend perfect!

Looks great, excellent choice in mods. Are you keeping the stock wheels?

Ok, I did the spacers 4 months ago, some supplier / sizes.
What do you think about the roadholding now ?

Very interesting update. I've got my parts on the way from Hill Engineering and look forward to getting them installed.

And I'm also curious about the slick gear change mod...
But I guess you're gonna tell asap... ;-)

Very nice job! I did the front/end spacers a few years ago and have been extremly happy with the wider stance look. I now have a set of 360 wheels in the garage and am contemplating about putting them on but not sure if they will fit with the spacers.

Very nice - I really like all the mods (Especially the wheel spacers).

My only complaint on the shift knob, is it sure gets hot to the touch on hot days in the sun! I had one on my 328. I put a carbon fiber one on my TR & it's more friendly. Although I really like the look of the silver one. The pedals look great too!

Interestingly my favorite mod is the shift knob. Mostly because it is the easiest to do. The slick shift gate is a very noticeable improvement for the 1-2 and 3-4 shift. Well worth it. The wheel spacers definitely make the car look better. I am surprised how noticeable the front end track change is. I notice roughly the same oversteer characteristics at lower speeds. I have not had the chance to run the speed up to see if the twitchiness is better above 100 mph. Thanks for the compliments, and I'll get the brake cable assembly cleaned up in about a year when the major service is due.

Its a shame about the oil line it looks a bit tatty, and theres an exposed red eletrical cable, you should really try harder to look after that car.

Dale, I've seen more pics of your car. We all wished ours would be like that.
    But it's to late ;-)

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the look of it. But after a hot day looking down at my palm and seeing the shift pattern kind of turned me off. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I will try to remember to cover the shift knob with a rag when the car is parked in the sun.

I've been on the fence about the wheel choice for the car. Saturday night at the Amici party in Palm Beach there was a red 348ss with wheels similar to Tom Clark's that looked excellent. If the wheelwax works as advertised I think I'll be leaning towards that look (because I don't feel like cleaning the bbs look every week). I've seen a few 348's with 360 wheels and they look really good also.

Bill - FWIW, with the right pads, the dust situation will be a non-issue. Porterfields will have extremely low dust compared to the stock pads you're probably running now. I ran EBC Greenstuff's, and they dusted like nobody's business, but they performed beautifully.

Go Porterfield if you want dust free. R4S-AP345 fits your car, both front & rear.

Thanks for the info Daniel. I will definitely go with the Porterfields in the next few months. Have you ever run into a 348 with a wider than usual dead pedal? The aluminum piece is about 1/2" narrower than the rubber piece that gets removed before installing the hill dead pedal. Maybe a different size for very early production 1989 348's??? If there are none available I will just install it over the rubber dead pedal so It will look finished.

Mine was the same way...the dead pedal was narrower then the rubber piece...But when you mount it all on it looks good...

The only problem with mounting it without the rubber piece behind it is that my carpet doesn't go behind the existing dead pedal at all. If I take the rubber piece off and install the aluminum, I will see some red paint between the aluminum and the tan carpet. I think I will just install it over the rubber piece.

Also, Dale is gonna get all over you for the dirt on your floor mats! I guess that happens when you drive the car and don't worry about how clean your shoes are every day. By the way, if you have any desire to get new seats, there is a set of new black leather 348 stock seats on Ebay I saw yesterday. Not saying you need them, just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm always looking for a 'deal'. Mine are in good shape with minimal wear but are not perfect. I don't believe there was anything behind my rubber but carpet.
