Unhappy Ferrari Barbie

Saw this on Autoblog:

"Talk about getting them young! Ferrari’s product placement marketing is now targeting the pre-teen set, at least the kids with $140 to spend on one of the latest additions to the Barbie lineup."

Pretty crazy if you ask me.

Probably not crazy when people have paid over $10,000 of an original 1959 Barbie, mint in box...

My Garage
I carried one that was $299.- retail. It was with some sorta big puffy red ball gown..Never did sell it and ended up giving it away

However the Barbies in the driver suits were popular

A few years ago, I bought a "Ferarri Barbie" for my daughter. She wears a red racing jumpsuit with Ferrari logos, and carries a red helmet.

Princess Amanda has them all, excepting last year's, packaged with the 360 Spider, and now this new one.......

Even has spares.......you are right, the Ball Gown/tiara one was quite expensive....UPS lost the first one and had to replace it! LOL! At $299 USD, IIRC......She was unusual in that she was NOT blond!

This newest is brunette, also. Lady Valeria will like that.

Who needs the driving suit one? That was the first, I believe.....we have three of those.........PM me if you gotta have it!

I have difficulty dealing with the Factory Store.....you order the '04 one with the 360, and I'll swap even.......it's E48.75...........Article Code BUN023.

Barbie's kinda fickle........she has a Corvette AND a pink Miata, IIRC.

I think I have THREE of the remote control 348 Spyder Barbie cars!
I had one "from Santa' for Amanda, and she had enough money one day, to
buy it for herself, in the store!!!!!

Two are still in the box, and last time I saw the open one, Bugs Bunny was driving it, with Yosemite Sam riding 'shotgun'............

didn't know they made a 348 Spider Barbie Car... they do make the 355 Spider...Santa gave it to my daughter for Christmas... he parked it right next to my car, very special father-daughter bonding moment

You are probably correct, maybe it IS a 355.

Bugs Bunny won't bring it back, so I can check......

That would make the second Barbie "Street Version" correct then.......black leather skirt and oh, so chic sunglasses........

I suppose Gala Barbie would arrive in a limo........LOL!

There was someone who was buying basic Barbies and modifying them into 3 different trailer trash versions. He got caught and had to stop, so these have become especially valuable...

Mine is modded. I bought a Ferrari Barbie in a red leather outfit with Cavallinos on her chest. Ken, her "service manager", was an added option I declined.
Our babysitter got a hold of this 1:18 doll a few weeks back, braided her hair, exposed her midriff a la Britney, and for the finale, lost her shoes. She now lives on the rear parcel shelf of the 250 GTE and it accompanies it to car shows and local drives. I make sure she is properly reclined behind the steering wheel after I am finished with the pre-show detail (wipe bigger insects off the windshield).

BTW, here is the Redneck Barbie pic, gotta love google image search

No I can't and they have never been available!
Some foriegn manufactureres are encouraged to set up factories in my beloved country so they get cheaper raw materials and labour with the regulation of 'export only'. So in order for me to be able to get my hands on them then either buy abroad or if a company 'imports' it back home!
Stupid isn't it, come to think of it!
