Sorry for the extra post on this subject, but I thought I better start a new thread just in case some people did not realize the date was moved.

Please note the Oct 16 Drive in the Sierras has been mover to Oct 23rd. Same meet time (9 AM), same place (Starbucks, El Dorado Hills). Here is the info below again...

Please join us Sunday, October 23 for a drive in the Sierras.

Welcoming Ferraris, Lambos, Ford GT's, Lotus, high-end Porsche's and other exotics. No vettes, vipers, bikes, etc please.

Please Private Mail (PM) or email me for details if you need them (please include your car type). Otherwise, if your car qualifies then feel free to just show up.

Meet at Starbucks in El Dorado Hills at 9:00 AM Sunday, Oct 23. Same drive as last time, or we can change it around a bit if anyone wants to (talk about that at Starbucks when we meet).

The last drive was 302 miles round trip. However some people will want to turn around after Monitor Pass this time, which would make it about 215 miles round tip (that would make it a 4-hour drive in total). We expect to return around 1 PM, or 3 PM for the group that goes all the way to the eats.

Click here to see how the last drive went (nice pics!)...safe to say we all had a GREAT TIME!!!

Please: no crazy drivers, no passing on 2-lane roads, no fast driving with other cars around. There are many good desolate areas on this route to get some spirited moments in. Last time we had a great group who drove responsibly around other cars and we'd prefer to keep it that way. We had no problems last time, just a lot of fun and a many good stretches that I won't forget anytime soon

The roads are awesome and the list of cars will again be top notch. We expect the usual suspects will show up: 4-5 Ferraris, a few Lambos, some Ford GT's, etc...rumors are that someone might bring a Saleen S7. If you know of any other marquees that would fit in please feel free to join too (MB/McLaren SLR, Aston Martin Vanquish, etc.)

Don't miss this drive! Our drives are getting better each time...don't know how we will top the last one!!!

Hmmm. Well me and a friend were planning on hooking up with you guys so I guess this is out. Wish I had more notice but I'm glad I saw this thead at the last minute before I drove 2 hours and found nobody. Anyway, it snowed 2 inches on Mt. Rose last night, I imagine monitor pass got a dusting too. I don't suggest rescheduling too many times unless you want to drive in sand. Mike

Sounds like a good time for a fire and a bottle of wine.
