I took a drive today and visited Classic Coach in NJ. They sponsor a lot of the track events I attend and I drop in once in a while because I usually meet friends and there are ALWAYS interesting cars.

Well today I hit the jackpot. Oh yes there were the usual, mundane, and lowly Ferraris like the 355s or 360s, a couple of Enzos, several F40s, some brand new 430's including a spider and some brand new Murcielagos and Gallardos. Of course they were many beautiful vintage
Ferraris getting work and even a yellow Muira.

Enough about the riff raff. Sitting in the center of the garage in black
with tan leather was the Costin coupe. It looks very nice indeed. Off to one side was a white with blue stripes Birdcage. Another red 450S was in the next room as well.

Then towards the center of the lift area were 3 MC12s. Two were street versions being federalized for street use so they were all apart and I got a great look at all the mechanicals. One was up in the air so I could see the underside. Then under that one was a brand new race version, which was never used last year. That one was wide open as well. It's interesting comparing the street versus road version. These things are a LOT of car.

Sorry, I couldn't take any pictures yet as they didn't want them photographed all apart. Professional secrets act! No kidding.
I guess they were comfortable enough that I don't know enough to see what they are doing. Yeah, they're safe.

If that wasn't quite enough exotics in a 1/2 hour period they also had a silver Pagani Zonda sitting outside. It was waiting for it's NJ state inspection.

Then I hopped back in my deep metallic blue Suburban with white stripes (would look good towing an MC12) and went on my way .....

I'll come back in a few weeks my camera and a trailer .....

    Sherm,

While they are a very friendly bunch I don't exactly think they want a lot of people touring it like a museum. They do actually do some work there. If they don't mind I'll post some pictures when I go back or someone else will before I do.

I'm not saying that I want to get in their way, I simply would like to drive by and take a look. I have no problem just looking from a distance and staying out of everyones way.

    I didn't bring a tape measure but 3"?
He's had it for a number of years and it's been out at shows on the East Coast so plenty of people have seen it.

Ah, when you mentioned a handful of MC-12s, I jumped the gun and thought you meant the MC-12 based Birdcage. Napolis mentioned in another thread that Maser/PF will build 3 of the MC-12 based Birdcages. I couldn't picture the new Birdcage with stripes of any size. :)

    Still very cool!

The thread was moved because Maserati discussion belongs in "Other Italian" not "Ferrari Discussion."

Classic Coach is a big Ferrari spot and I thought that everyone would enjoy the report. It was also about more than just Maseratis . It seemed like more people would see it there and garage lifts aren't exactly about Ferrari either but that thread resides there.

Maybe if it had some decent pictures?

Thought that was exactly what you did, "touring it like a museum"? You can do that and other people can't?

p.s. would be nice if you fill out your profile :)

They do work on some of my cars. I didn't just walk in off of the street. My profile is that way by intent. :)

Don't take this the wrong way, all I am saying is that they are open for business, therefore, anyone should be allowed to visit; whether they let you have a tour or not, thats another story and totally up to them. Visiting shouldn't be limited to current customers.

I am just teasing you about the profile, since alot of fchatters love to do that, so i am just returning the favor :)

Over the weekend I did stop by to take a look. I made sure to appoach one of the employees first and ask if it was ok for me to look around, and he told me to feel free. I asked about taking pictures and he said that the owner wasn't in at the moment, but if I come back and speak to the owner, he is sure it would be no problems. So I kept my visit to simply drooling over the amazing cars there. I will be sure to go back to take some pictures for my collection another time.
On saturday there were 2 Enzos, 1 Zonda, 3 MC12 (1 racing), Mucialogo roadster, 2 F40s, Lambo Muira, and many more. It was great. I never imaged to get to see all those cars in one place.
