Here's what I'm thinking for my 308 GTB hot rod: STAGE 1 - BBS LM wheels - Lowering springs - Euro bumpers - Azzuro California paint - Tint - New MOMO wheel - New stainless pedals and shift knob from Hill, bought from Ricambi of course STAGE 2 - Alcantara sport seats, 4 pt. harness - Supercharger - New carpet - Alcantara dashboard and headliner - Carbon fiber face plates for instrument console and center console - Big brake kit, stainless brake lines - higher flow cats (or decat if already past emissions cutoff for classic cars) STAGE 3 - Carbon fiber doors, hood, fenders, decklid - Custom instrument cluster with Stradale style gauges Every time I watch a customizing car show, I think about making this car. For a while, I was thinking of making a push to start a business to make a run of hot rod 308's with the above options and sell them, like Unique Performance and many others do with old American muscle. Maybe if something else works out and I have money to work with. Thanks to Jordan for the photo of the original car. Minh: I don't know, but the original car was gold.
So go do it. A 308 GTB with weak paint and a bad interior shouldn't be too expensive or all that hard to find. You could also do the pseudo-gtb version with a smoothed, relouvered GTS.
Can't yet... after I finish school and we move back West we should have more cash. Right now in MA I'm paying enough rent on our apartment to cover the payments on FIVE 308's that run but need love. If I got a GTS I'd get the window treatment you have. I do prefer the lines of the GTB though.
What does the original pic look like? Did you photoshop the paint and wheels? By the way, this is Augustine. I was too lazy to logout of Bruce's login.
Those rims+color=awesome. So is that azzuro California? It kind of looks like it, but maybe a little lighter; but thats probably because of the sunlight on it.
Hey guys - yes, I PShopped that up. I was going for Azzuro CA but just made it the color I would really like (knowing the closest factory color is AC). Here is the original car: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd take the blue. Gold brings back memories: one time a told a friend that the reason you dont see gold Ferraris that much becasue the paint is made of real gold. He belived it for over 3 years, lol.
If your serious..I have one in blue with tan interior..79 carb GTB..euro rear bumper..but still has US front bumper on it. Its a clean car. LOW 40's high 30"s will take it..CND funds.
Do you have a picture of your Alfa? Thanks for the compliments. I didn't put any brake discs behind the wheels, which I think would have made it tough to spot as a pshop.
I've never seen a 308 in gold - it looks nice. The blue is sweet too. Red and Tan get boring after awhile (my 79 gts).
