Here is a copy of what I posted in the Texas region: >>>Hey guys! My wife has started getting crank calls on her cell phone. It's from a Dallas area code: 972 and has a 310 prefix. Anybody know if that is a cell prefix? (I think it is) She's all freaked out and upet, which in turn makes me REALLY pissed! The whole number is 972-310-7197<<< I put it here just in case anybody else has access to any type of number tracker. He's really starting to get me fired up. 7 calls in 30 minutes. And she is a nurse on-call so turning it off isn't a real option. I figure, if the Fchat Polizia can't help, then the Fchat Mafioso can! Thanks y'all!! Dave P.S. Feel free to PM if you don't want to blow cover!
Yeah. I kinda figured it was a cell phone from the way the last call sounded. I thought I remember reading that cell phone companies take this very seriously and actually follow through one reported. I just need to figure out which carrier. (And the *********s name and address) Dave
Start calling back the number every few minutes, see how he likes it... Is he saying anything or just hanging up?
I'd rather not play his game. I'd much prefer to gather as much info as possible and then toy with him at my leisure. He didn't say anything the one time I answered, but my wife said he was talking and meowing (like Super-Troopers the movie). Dave
www.areacodedownload.com has info like what company owns what prefix if you don't know what state it is but you know the area code then put the area code in the url such as for nola www.areacodedownload.com/504 and it will give you all the prefixes and who they belong to since you can take your cell numbers with you from carrier to carrier now it is a bit harder to narrow it down.

Ok, what if I change it a bit...? "Reclusive-yet-fun-loving black gay midget priest tranny w/Oedipus complex seeks tawdry nights with crossdressing scatophile. MUST HAVE a Rambone! Show me your Adam's apple and I'll show you my mini-me surprise."
The phone number "(972) 310-7197" is based in Grandprari, TX and the registered carrier is Southwestern Bell Wireless, Llc - Tx. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier.
It's real simple. I've been here, done this. Call your carrier and the local police. Report the calls. Indicate that they are threatinging in nature. Log each call with a small notation as to content. After ten or so additional calls, go to your carrier and ask for a number change, N/C. They'll do it. Beleive me, the police will do the rest, and your caller will not be happy with the result. Getting arrested for making threatining or harassing phone calls in this era is no joke. He will be thankful if he doesn't end up with a very serious felony charge. DM
Thanks for the effort guys! I'm trying to report it to Sprint, but after being on hold for 15 minutes on TWO different occasions, I'm cooling off. (I FREAKING HATE SPRINT, but that's a different gripe) And Carbon, That is so wrong on soo many different levels..... I LOVE IT, 'Ya SiCk Bastid!! Dave
Believe your going to need a police report for the harassing calls then the phone company will start their investigation and forward their findings to the PD.
