430 CS?

quick refuelling tip makes me think that its a race car ?

 

It is a 430 Challenge race car. The plate is a "prova" plate, which allows the car to be driven on the road. It may have been going from one place to another, and not necessarily being tested

 

i think this is a f430 challenge because the gas cap is the race style for quick refueling and the exhaust is definately challenge. i dont think they will put the challenge exhaust in the stradale. but they will definately put a sport exhaust on it.

 

I would think in Modena, Ferrari can do most anything they find convenient.

By the way, the Challenge car is quieter than the road car according to a friend who has both........................

If youre talking about 360s....The Challenge car is louder than the stock 360 by a wide margin....

However...the 355 Challenge is louder and there are alot of sport / aftermarket exhausts that can be even louder still

 

If it is fact (im not sure it is?) that the F430 is done as of summer 08, and there is not even a picture of a CS right now....why is everyone so sure there will be one? Just bc it did well for them; they also sold every 355 fiorano edition, doesnt mean they made a 360 fiorano...

348 - Series Speciale
355 - Fiorano
360 - Challenge Stradale

Yes, they may well do something, however the fiorano was hardly worth waiting for if u see the specs, also; they made very few. the CS was its own model, and while it sold quite well (sold out!) If production is at a maximum, they may not find it worth it to do again. Ferrari is changing as a company, getting larger etc, much more like porsche imo.

I think it’s too early for a CS. It may be two to three years from now if they decide to make one.

 

I think Boston Mini might be correct, why do a CS if your having problems keeping up with Demand? In addition, I bet the guys with the 360CS will be in heaven as it surely wil keep the prices of those cars up.

 

Ferrari likes to build a special version near the end of a production run (355 Fiorano Spider, 550 Barchetta, 575 Superamerica, Challenge Stradale). A 430 version of the Challenge Stradale will happen after they run the Challenge Series and the GTC get a season or two of racing (FIA, Grand Am, etc.).

 

Not three years, that´s too long. In three years we will have the new 430.
More like one or two if it finally goes on production that I think and I hope so.
