Cruising the Coast Oct 4-11 (Biloxi/Gulfport MS)

Any Ferrari owners doing Cruising the Coast (Biloxi/Gulfport area)? Pre-registration is closed and from what I've been told they do that at 3000 cars. According the the local media they are expecting 5000+ cars this year. I enjoy parking down on Hwy 90 and watching some nice cars go by, do burnouts or other activities. If anyone else is planning on crusing over we can designate a time and place for a Ferrari get-together, sit in lawn chairs and watch the burnouts on Hwy 90. There are always some "interesting sites" too . Joe (Gulfport)

Hmm...I have never heard of this. Sounds like it will be cool to go watch. What exactly goes on during the 4-11?

Here's the web site. Be sure and check out the photos from past years. Its basicly a rolling car show over a one week period that covers a 26 mile section of beachfront road with events at every turn. Anything you can imagine from antiques to exotics participate.

Here's a pic from a couple of years ago of one of the stops in Gulfport.

I will try to make it down one day, probably the 10th. How is the ferrari/exotic scene during this? I scanned through the photos on the site and didn't see much other than muscle cars.

Some Ferrari's come but it seems they never show up the same day. You see them from time to time during the event. It is mostly muscle cars but I see Lotus, Maserati often and a Lambo will blow by every once and a while. There are a lot of Ferrari's in the general area of Mobile, New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. There's no reason we can't all show up at the same time. We would just have to set a day and place. The bad thing is getting a hotel this late if you are from out of town. It will be almost impossible unless you go to one of the major casinos. And even then they may be booked solid? Joe
