The Roadrunners gathering on Woodstock Road in Roswell was great! Start with nice weather (if a bit chilly), add some nifty cars and a great group of drivers to chat with, and include Panera Bread as a place to eat breakfast - just like the original Caffeine & Octane shows in east Cobb!

(In fact, quite a few of the participants say that they've quit going to C&O. Hopefully, owners of classic cars will make this show even bigger. Unlike the previous location at LA Fitness, this one has room to grow.)

And for a change, I didn't have the only Italian car, as a 360 (in TdF blue) and a couple of Panteras were also in attendance.

There were a large number of Porsche 911s and 912s in attendance, including three Targas. The license number on the first one reads LXVIII, which translates to 1968 for those of you who are Roman-numeral-challenged.

Other German cars included a nice Karmann Ghia and a BMW 325 with some lovely trumpets.

The most interesting vehicle there was French! It was one of only two Citroen 2CVs converted to a station wagon (or "shooting brake", if you prefer) in Switzerland. You can read the write-up on the rear doors. It was later joined by an even more minimalist vehicle, a Crosley!

American participation seemed to be limited to those two old protagonists, Chevrolet and Ford, both old and older.

I never know where to place a Cobra. British? American? Really it was a bit of both, and this example, with a grille and no side pipes, seemed more British than some.

Of course, I was attracted to the '70 Nova, since my first car was one of those, and in the same color, but my car was no SS! (Nowadays, a two-speed automatic seems so, well, obsolete.)

I think that all of us who were there really enjoyed the gathering. The rest of you (if your cars are either old enough or exotic enough) should join us.
