12 Hour Go Kart Race at AMP

    Hey everyone,

    There is a 12 hour endurance race at the AMP kart track September 12-13. It is a night race, starting at 11pm Saturday and ending 11am Sunday.

    I did it with Tom Spiro last year (it was a 10 hour day race then), and we had a blast! We are looking for 2 more drivers. Let me know if you are interested!

    Last year, there were 17 teams. Not sure how it being a night race now will affect this year's attendance, but it will probably somewhere around there.

    Forgot to mention: last year we were in 2nd place ... 10 hours of karting and we were only 15 seconds out of 1st place in class! it was really close racing and FUN!

    my son is driving with David Murry's son. in the pictures above my son is in the yellow driving suit.

    I thought the start time was 8 pm to 8 am ?

    watch out for Tom and his team .. Tom is good.. Jim Downing always races as does Jack Baldwin, Johnny O, and sometimes Chase Elliot..

    its a fun event.

    James is way better than me... I sprayed your son with a small but direct hit with the Champagne last year!!! he got me back in the face!

    I think we have a full team now. look out for Scuderia FCA... since we are mostly Ferrari owners / FCHAT folks....

    Less than a week to go hope you guys can come out and cheer us on look for the u haul with a Ferrari flag that will be our "hospitality " spot!

    So this year we went a bit backwards but got a podium 3rd place
    More importantly we met a new Ferrari chat friend- Jean Claude such an awesome guy
    James Lapp, George Callum and Flip Brian Crane just made up an awsome team I had a blast!!!! But dead tired!

    It was too much fun Tom. Can't thank you guys enough for letting me join you! It sucks that I was sick the whole time...still nauseous now. I promise that next time I will try to not be sick. lol
