    Mr. Gurney is a good friend. I had a nice chat with him recently about a race where he, Troy Ruttman ( 1952 Indy 500 winner ) and Richie Ginther raced a 1958 Ferrari TR at Riverside and won..

    Troy Ruttman was 22 when he won the 500 so he was probably 28 when they raced the Ferrari.

    Richie Ginther was a Porsche mechanic in a small Beverly Hills repair shop and the 3 of them were pals..

    could you imagine ? being a kid and racing a Ferrari TR with Gurney, Ginther and Ruttman ?

    Richie died of lung CA a few years ago and Troy died a slow horrible death about 15 years ago..

    Mr. Gurney is healthy as a horse thank god..
