Indy 500 4 time winner banquet

My Indy 500 driver veteran Steve Chassey is the head of the Indy 500 old timers club.. he invited me to come to the Speedway next week as his club is honoring the 4 time winners... I grew up in Indiana and am a die hard Indy historian nut... My mom was the 500 queen in 1957 and I grew up around the speedway as my dad worked for GM and had a suite in turn 2 .

so, my buddy invited me to attend.. they are honoring

Rick Ravon Mears - my all time hero. he won in 79, 84, 88 and 91
Anthony Joseph Foyt - 61, 64, 67, 77
Al Unser Sr - 70, 71, 78, 87

so, I may call in sick and fly up to see my life long hero's...

Steve still holds a record for 1 & 4 lap speed in a stock block pushrod motor when he drove for Gurney..
