My departure timing turned out to be perfect. I left the event at about 11:50 and actually ran into a light, brief shower on Paces Ferry Road, while the sun was still shining. But as I approached my exit on I-75 in Marietta at about 12:10, there were very ominous clouds just to the northwest. At about 12:20, or about 5 minutes after I put the horse back in the barn, there was loud thunder followed very soon thereafter by a torrential downpour! I'm glad I didn't stay in Buckhead a minute longer!

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss the August event, as I'll be visiting my dad in Florida.
