Miami over NE? Sorry, but as long as the Phins have Ryan Tanehill they have no chance....and in wouldn't take anybody over Brady I that division.
Hi Whisky.... Are these your picks? If so, you have Miami at top, Detroit now at bottom. Is your thinking the Suh trade? I'd flip flop Detroit and Chicago. If Bridgewater can advance, Minny will be interesting, not better than GB, but interesting. Going on assumption that TB picks Winston, does anyone think TB can surprise in a weak division? T
NFC West: Seattle NFC South: Carolina NFC North: Green Bay NFC East: Dallas AFC West: Denver AFC South: Indianapolis AFC North: Pittsburgh AFC East: New England Wild card teams would be New Orleans and Arizona for NFC, Kansas City and Houston for AFC. Superbowl is Indianapolis and Green Bay. Luck gets a ring. NFL MVP is Andrew Luck. Others: -Peyton starts to look old, but Denver as a team is good enough to win the division. -Chip Kelly fired because Philidelphia implodes -St. Louis misses playoffs in favor of Arizona due to head-to-head tiebreaker -AFC North is the weakest division of the eight listed above.
Am digging your pick for NFC East! I find your pick of Nawlins surprising. Loss of Graham is a big loss.....T
Picks are all for fun until money is on the line. Of course, one or two keys injuries and a 10-6 team can be 5-11. Good parity in the NFL in my opinion.
Good point, I just saw the McClain signing roll across the sport ticker. As for Lee, I sure hope he can stay healthy for entire season....T
They definitely upgraded at running back, Keith! If Bradford can play up to his draft position, then Eagles will be tough....T
Stoked McClain is coming back. He did an admirable job when Lee went down. If both of them stay healthy they will provide much needed defensive leadership. Everyone cried like the sky was falling when Ware bailed and yet our D was vastly improved. It helps with a dominant O line to give the D some rest. LMAO if Bradford stays healthy through the first half of the season that will be astounding. Fingers crossed Kelly's off-season moves come back to ruin him.
+1 O line was a major factor last year, plus commitment to run. I'm not a fan of Kelly's playing style - it's a bit too frenetic - but certainly hope that Bradford can stay unhurt. It's sad to see a talented young man not live up to his potential due to injury....T
Because NE got rid of Wilfork and Revis, and MIA dumped Wallace and acquired some folks under the radar makes me like them, but no, I would never count NE out. I don't count Buffalo out, either. Absolutely! Not gonna happen. If Adrian is not in Dallas this season I will be shocked, the PROBLEM with that is who will Dallas give up to get him? Minnesota has said 'Petersen is not going anywhere'. The NFL definition of that is 'until the price is right'. Have you ever seen a player with so many injuries in their first three seasons ever play to their potential for an entire season? I haven't. I speak of both Lee and Bradford.
I know baseball a lot better than football, and I think your point - albeit ominous for Lee - is a good one. Am trying to come up with a counter argument, but it's tough. Some pitchers have come back from Tommy John surgery, but most of the ones I can think of off the top of my head were very early career injuries. And, in many cases, they had to revamp their delivery, pitching style, etc. Manning was supposedly done after his neck injury, but he was established by then. Willis McGahee came back to be serviceable RB, but has not to my knowledge put up the stats one might have otherwise expected of a top-5 pick .T
One recent player I can think of is former Eagle Jeremy Maclin. He had not made it through an entire season without losing time to injury, and lost the entire 2013 season with a torn ACL. But he remained healthy throughout 2014 and became the best receiver in Philidelphia, and arguably the best WR available in free agency this off-season.
Phil Simms had injury problems early in his career, but eventually worked through them and became a pretty decent quarterback, don't you think? (In baseball, the same was true of Mike Schmidt.) There may be hope for Sam Bradford yet.
Over-paid in relation to his stats with Miami. He's got the second richest WR contact after Megatron, but most of his stats rank in the 30's last year. Not a good combo....T
