I have started a Playoff fantasy football challenge, it is at NFL.com - Official Site of the National Football League The name of the group is FERRARI and the password is the same (lower case Ferrari) It is free to play and worth nothing more than bragging rights.
+1 I *suspect*, in my case at least, it's that I'm running an iPad. (?) and it wants to D/L their app too...... (Thought I already had that as well! ) It looks like we're gonna need an account too; I think I have one, but no idea what it may be!...... No matter, after once again winning the Fchat regular seasons honors, I'm happy. Cheers, Ian
Ok, I think I'm in. Freed from the moral imperative of picking my Cowboys, I'm expecting to shine! 😜 Assuming I joined the right group, I went with some of the less popular options to differentiate myself from the masses. I assume that I can pick each week once the matchups are set? T
Yes. How it works is your picks double in points by playoff round. If you pick a guy playing this weekend, and his team advances, then whatever points he gets in the next round double, and if you keep him to the third round, they triple, IIRC. However, if you pick a guy in the first round but his team loses, you need to pick a new player, and that player only gets single points. Likewise, if you swap a player out that made it to the second round with another one, that new player gets single points. ie if you take Alex Smith or Brian Hoyer in the first round but you swap them out and take Brady, Newton, Manning or Palmer, those guys get single points. BUT - if you take them this weekend when they have a BYE, I believe they get double points next weekend when they play.
^^ Aha. So, the goal is to pick players that do well, on teams that go deep into the playoffs. Hmm. May need to redo! Thanks, Whisky! T
I'm regretting switching from Kelce to Eifert. Need KC to go in "waste clock" mode and hand off to West a zillion times...T
Going into the playoffs in years past, we pretty-much knew who was going to end up in the SB, and you picked accordingly. This year is not like that at all, ANY of these teams can make it - except for GB. I expect the NFC team to win the SB, but who knows?
You know before last week's wild card game I had written of the Packers even though they were my pre-season fav to make the SB. After last week's game I think they may be back on track. However, for the challenge I have now projected AZ to be the NFC representative.
It is not a person from here, I asked some co-workers as well as folks here if they wanted to take part, a couple did.
