Mia sightfishing Largemouth Bass

Mia and I just spent first 2 days of spring break sightfishing for bass at Lake Fork. She is only 9 and I was prepared for her to get bored quickly with backup plans, but she kept wanting to go back out for more each day. She also figured out fishing isn't just about catching, but being outdoors seeing all the nature up close.

She was already pretty good with fishing, but really advanced her skills these last two days. She's now casting a baitcaster really well plus learned how to underhand pitch a spincaster and side cast. Sightfishing is good for kids because they can actually see the fish they are trying to catch, then they put on a strong fight.
