Is there a way to test this Dinoplex? Having a spark related problem. In reading through the history someone said that you could short (small jumper) the 6 pin plug going to the Dinoplex temporarily just like the Dino wiring does. They suggested jumping between pins 3 and 4 which would be K (Coil - ) to Tach which does not seem right. Looks like 1 to 3 would be the sequence magnetic pickup to K (Coil -)

    Appreciate.

I don't think that's a smart thing to do. If you have a distributor test machine (or know someone that does) you could bench test the system on it.
Also with a function generator you can generate the sin-wave signal from the magnetic pickup to test the AEC104 and coil.
First option would be the best because you also test the magnetic pickup / advance etc.
The second option is the easiest.

I do not have access to thay type of equipment but it is a good suggestion.

I'm going to check the resistance on the coil and check the distributor cap carbon tip.

After that I can check the wiring.

What's left is the magnetic pickup and Dinoplex. Go from there.

    Good project for the weekend.

    Thanks,

    Drew
