    hi, I was trying to learn to flash my ecu myself and if any one can tell me what's the technical term for "this bit is for this function, that bit is that function". Is it called bit map?
    If so, where can I find a tech document describing the "bit map" bit by bit? What is the machine I need to buy to do this job?

    All I want to do is to flash the exhaust valve open rpm from 7000 to 4000 (as in CS)

    I do have 1 set of stock modena Ecu and 1 set of stock CS ecu handy.

    I have a copy of a US spec, manual ECU that came with the racing exhaust option. I can send you if you would like to use it as a basis for comparison. Send me a PM if you'd like a copy.
