    My car got dented/scratched loading it into a car trailer. It is about 10 in. long and indented about 1", it has to be fixed. I don't want this to go on the car fax, what would you do? Take it to someone who can fix and not report, or to someone to fix that will report? Does it even matter? HELP?

    Brad- As long as there is no police report and it is not reported to your or the dealer's insurance company, just take it to the best body and paint place and have it fixed. They will repaint the entire door and the repair will be invisible.

    Carfax only gets what is sent by insurers and dealers. If you're paying to fix it, as long as you don't file an insurance claim, you're good. If the transport Co's insurance is paying, then that might be a different story.

    Either way, take a bunch of pictures so you can explain the carfax info, should the issue ever come up.
