Help! I have a new Galaxy S4 and I can't send or receive pictures via text. I've looked online and all I see are pages and pages of nothing helpful. I've gone into the "settings" for both the device and messaging and can find nothing that seems to help. I've had similar problems with other phones in the past and it was a matter of switching a messaging setting to MMS or something, but I can't find a way to do it here. I send and receive lots of pics with my kids and need to get this fixed.

    Ideas?

Youtube seems to have tutorials when you search for "Galaxy S4 MMS"

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF_LxDoSuEk]EE -- Samsung Galaxy S4 -- How to send a Picture Message (MMS) - YouTube[/ame]

My dad has an S4 and sent a MMS a few days ago...not sure what yours looks like. His is on T-mobile.

I'll look deeper on YouTube, I've done everything that video says to do, but the picture won't send. Text messages go, pictures lock up and I get an error message.

Hmm...I ran into a similiar thing with my Google Nexus 5, but I use a prepaid monthly plan (not sure if you do, but likely not as few people do in the US). When I first put in my SIM, it would allow me to text and call, but not browse the internet or send MMS. Only because I didn't setup the APN in the phone settings and then reset. After that I could go online and send MMS without needing to be on wifi.

Most people that buy phones through carriers just need to put in their SIM or CDMA already in and can do what they want. I used an unlocked phone on a carrier that doesn't setup for me so I had to do a few extra (easy steps).

Look into your carrier's APN settings if that needs to be adjusted.

I had the same problem with my Galaxy. Once I turned WiFi off the pics seemed to work fine.

Samsung Galaxy phones send MMS pictures over the "data network" so make sure your mobile network is turned on and you have a decent 4G signal.

I have 4 bars of 4G LTE, and my browser functions all work fine. I assume that would be data.

    Grrrrr.

When I hit "send" I get:

    "No Network Connection
No signal found for mobile networks"

How can I make phone calls and read Ferrarichat if there's no signal?

    To what? :p

It's fixed. It was very complicated and took me a lot of time.

I turned it off. Then I turned it back on.

Wait...wat? A reboot corrected it? Did you have to change/update the APN? Or was that it? I shouldn't have assumed that you did that first otherwise I would've suggested it! :p

Makes me remember that great Big Bang episode in which Wolowitz gets his p***s stuck in a robot hand and then can't get it unstuck. The nurse in the ER gets the job done by turning the robot's computer off and on.

    George.
