Just bought a Mophie charging case for my iPhone 5. Is it better to leave the case in the "off" position until the battery is drained enough to require charging or to leave it on to continuously provide power? Or does it not matter either way?

    Thanks.

It is not good to deep discharge a lithium battery before recharging and most current battery systems will shut down a battery before it is fully discharged. Lithium batteries generally start to degrade immediately after they are made - so from a practical perspective they degrade according to time, not so much due to recharge cycles.

The control logic in your charger should execute the proper charging procedure for the 5s so you shouldn't have to manually second-guess the Mophie unless the user's manual says otherwise.
