    Hi. I would like to (somehow) play a ton of pics in a thubdrive, on an "older" TV/Monitor with no USB port. I would of course prefer to do it without a PC attached . Is there a "gizmo" out there which would allow me to play thousands of pics as a slide show, in a TV with a RGA or HDMI inputs. thanks in advance

    As long as the TV/Monitor has an HDMI port available, your best option would be something like a Roku 3 box.

    Thanks Robert. Based on what I read on the specs, I think Roku 2 would work fine since I don't need earphones or voice command. Appreciate the help. Had no idea what a Roku was!

    No problem! Hope it ends up working out for you.

    There might be other ways to do it, but Roku was the first thing that came to mind for me.
