2checkout at http://www.2checkout.com, they are one of the default payment processing partners for subscriptions within FerrariChat.com. I have been a customer of theirs for almost 15 years as an alternative to Paypal for users

Warning they just changed their requirements this month requiring payment privacy policy, refund policy, and physical contact info public on your website.

The privacy and refund policy is actually a good idea, although I have never needed it in 15 years I did update our rules to include.

What I have a major problem with is 2checkout requiring I make my address and phone available to the public with my contact info! I explained that I'm an internet business, work from my private home, and that every page on my website has a contact form and I respond to all.

They said my payments would be held until I added the address and phone. I refused, so have dropped them.

This is ridiculous, I have worked with other payment processors and this isn't required. Paypal doesn't require any of this! They simply don't understand the nature of internet forum and privacy concerns.

Sounds like you made the right call Rob. Hope you are able to find a more reasonable processor so that those of us who don't use Paypal have an option.

With all due respect, I don't quite get the 'hatred' for PayPal that some have.

It's proven secure and their policies seem pretty reasonable to me, at least once you (pedantically, your bank account) get 'verified' correctly.

Rob, mind me asking the split between PP and 'other' payment methods?

    Cheers,
    Ian

2checkout has always been garbage. Use authorize.net never any issues with them and every platform i've ever used has a tie in with them or its easy to write one to use their api which is fantastic.
