My lovely wife, Tammy, is having a girls get together at the house, this Sunday. That leaves me the freedom to get out of the house, this Sunday. I know the weather forecast is aweful. Therefore, if the weather sucks let's gather at my shop and watch a movie on the big screen! Just got the Steve McQueen doc, 'The Man and Lemans' all about the making of the greatest movie of all time. If there's more watching to do then we can watch 'LeMans' or the replay of the Pirelli World Challenge series from last weekend. The one where my car won! If we get lucky, and the weather turns out good, then let'***** the national forest and enjoy some curvy roads! We already have a couple of F-Chatters coming, so I thought I would go ahead and open the invites up to the rest of the fine forum members. Please check in, below. Thanks, y'all!
I'm new on here. I plan to attend the pico brunch hosted by FCA this Sunday on Kirby. Are you guys going ?
I'll be there, early (@9am). If the weather is good, we'll roll out @ 10 and hit lunch in Conroe. Then drive the national forest. If the weather blows then roll in @11. I'll order up the pizza's. I now have an entire lounge area with high top tables & chairs watching the big screen! So, just come by anytime before we leave. Or anytime at all if the weather's bad.
Just so you know, there is no FCA, PCA, nor LCA requirement to attend. Just the nice people from FChat who are willing to attend. Look forward to seeing everyone there. Thanks!
Great time yesterday, Frank! Thanks for putting it together. Such a blast truly opening up the Huracan for the first time! Amazing to think that the car has more to offer! Weather held up and the back roads were empty. We've gotta do this again soon!
That is why I asked which one, because there are three other national forests in southeast Texas (albeit a bit of a drive to reach those, but that's what a Ferrari is for ).
FCA does not invite us.... Enjoy that book, it's great!! Sorry to have missed you, was in Austin with Jimmie Dale Gilmore..(AND his mom! LOL!)
Mom sold the place in Point Blank. Leaving 59N take 2025 to Coldspring, then T156 on up to Point Blank
Looks like Germany.. Of course, like Spa or the "Ring, if you leave the road a pine tree will cut you in half.....
I got excited for a second when this thread got bumped as I thought it was this weekend and will I have a new (to me) Ferrari in the garage today. I should've read the date closer, hopefully I'll make the next one or get to stop by EuroWorld sometime soon. Frank - congrats on the Gt3 Cup Car success, you now have quite a history with Cup Cars.
Thank you. It was rather unintentional. I'm nothing but a bargain shopper. It's how I got into the business; a bargain here, a bargain there. Next thing I knew the bargains started piling up. So, I had to make a decision; sell these 'bargains' and limit myself to what I can enjoy, or step up the program and become legit. I am very happy I did. I can now assure myself that my cars get the very best work on them. Got a bargain on a cup car, sold it to a guy who wanted it. That's how I met Alec Udell. Now I sponsor his car. Now he's wining like crazy. I'll be at Supercar Saturday, tomorrow. We're going for a quick drive afterwards. Please join us!
Speaking of which, when do I get to meet you, Big Tex? You are always welcome around here, as long as you behave yourself! ;-)
Special thanks for coming out, today, guys. Brought out the orange UR Gallardo since its been the centerpiece of the marketing campaign. Had a fun time after Supercar Saturday and a rockin lunch at Demeris BBQ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
