I am slow in the head and I haven´t read the entire thread (forget to read once I see so much beautiful pictures) but the yellow 412 P and the Sunoco 512M (amongst others) are or were of mr Stroll, right?

At the risk of being rude, but that motor gives me wood.

What a spectacular looking automobile! Oh to hear the whine of that vintage v-12 at 8000 rpms!

    O.K., so it was a long-ish 'tea break'. :D .... Sorry, I've been distracted / otherwise occupied .... :(
A few more nice colour photos (mostly 1024x680) of #0850 from Ault Park Concours, June 2006, can be found here:

    http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z11674/default.aspx

and some others (mostly 1024x768) from Auburn Concours, September 2006 in two galleries on *************:

    http://www.*************/gallery/26520/931/1.html .... and http://www.*************/cars/591.html
Suggest you right-click and save them - while they're still there. Not all online galleries stay up forever.
That's how I help myself to build up my own photo collection. ;)

Give me a day or two to find the originals (they're on a flash drive somewhere), and I'll email them to you. :)

Just to keep you in the right frame of mind, Ken .... ;)
Here's another nice photo of #0850's motor, taken at Ault Park Concours, last year - copyright Scott Schwartz ©.

(This image was right-clicked and saved from yet another online photo gallery - that I can't quickly find again, at the moment. :( )

.... and a few slightly older ones from the New York Auto Show, 2004.

The first two images, I found at www.velocityjournal.com .... but where the others came from, I'm not so sure now. :(

.... but fortunately this one has. :)

.... although you may have a problem clicking on the link, because FChat seems to have an aversion to (dare I say it) f-o-t-k-i :(

Some super close-up photos of various external details of #0850 by Charlie Fox:

    http://public.fotki.com/cafox513/ferrari/330s_at_monterey_04/page2.html (Edit: I take it all back - they've fixed the ***** problem !! :) )

Charlie has kindly allowed theses photos to be down-loaded at original high resolution. There are a couple more of #0850 on page 1.

(In that same gallery album, there are also other photos of Jim's P4 making it's debut public appearance at Monterey, and a few of #0854 besides .... but as this is the 0850 thread - can we keep 'on topic' please. ;) )

Looking at Charlie Fox's photos again .... for the first time in a while, reminded me of something different about #0850's bodywork. ;)
Whereas some other P4's / 412P's have these as separately-fabricated (screw-on) panels, #0850's rear 'corner spoilers' appear to be 'moulded' into the rear bodywork. That must have taken some considerable effort - by a very skilled panel-beater / alloy welder. :)

so i probably didn't make myself clear as well, sorry. now i'm pretty sure it was 50th anniversary of Ferrari, just to make sure i'm linking some other pictures taken at the same event:

i hope everything's clear now, and sorry for making a bit of off topic :)

Panel-beater / alloy welder might be skilled but the rear wheel acres and downward rear louvres look a bit strange to me either. Anyway, still a beautiful genuine car.

I thought I ought to mention something.

In case any of you are right-clicking and saving the photos that I have uploaded to this thread ....

.... and wondering why I caption them this way: P4#0850#11-Monterey-August2004-NSF.jpg .... etc. ....

    Yes - I do realise that #0850 is a 412P NOT a P4. ;)

It's a personal thing. I caption all such photos, beginning with 'P4', whether the car is actually a P3/4; 330P4; 412P or 350Can-Am.
It's just the way I caption my photos, so I can index them faster - by chassis # / Race N° / Event / Place / Date / Angle ....
.... in the bigger picture, so to speak.

I've been looking at which next batch of #0850 photos to upload to the thread, but before I do ....
.... as I was flicking through my photo folder I came across the one below, which I'd never captioned properly, at the time I saved it.

Can anybody shed any light on the location and date it might have been taken, please ?

Was 0850 the past P4/412P built/completed? This would explain this difference maybe?

And yes I know 0854 is also a 412P but the chassis number does not necessarily mean it was completed after 0850.
