I think you'll find that the first/top picture with the number 20 roundels in the brochure is of real 250 GTO 4757GT. Was converted into replica around 1987.

The link for the 250 GTO brochure isn't active on the new FChat. It does work on the old version. Also, as a side comment, the text on the new FChat seems to be on the light side IMO.

This has to be the most fun/awesomeness per dollar car for sale anywhere at the moment. Imagine going on a real grand tour of Colorado or Yellowstone in this car. Come on powerball.

I have seen this car in person and I have to say it looks and sounds like the real deal to me. Down to the details like rivets and the raw driving experience.

Has someone paid $70M for a 250GTO or is that puffery?

As much as I like the fact that a super rare car like this comes up for sale here (and I can have a look and drewl over it), I have to wonder if OP wouldn’t benefit from using one of the major auction houses to help sale and possibly get top dollar for it..?

Alot of sales happen in private and quietly and I wouldn't be surprised. My source, in the exotic car business, mentioned a 250LM which sold for 90 million. Is it true? Could be.

Eminently possible I would say, given that a wristwatch has sold for $18m+
In the last month......how many times more fun is a 250LM....?! Or indeed this beautiful replica at an nth of that price??

    Love it.

    Mark.

It's not an original GTO, it's a re-bodied 330. Still a lot of fun but not a mulit-million dollar car.
