We've just received this 2006 MC12 Corsa with less than 150 miles. 1 of 12 in the world. There is a full listing in the cars for sale section. Offered at $2.7 million. For more info, please PM or email. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Why would it priced higher than a real race winning GT1 that is the real thing? The last Corsa sold for less than 1m
Interesting to see 2 of these for sale at once, in the US no least; Mecum Auctions has one listed at 0 miles that will be auctioned in Monterey.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Corsa sale you refer to was in 2009. At that same time you could have bought an F50 or Enzo for under $1 million, rather than the $2 - 4M they're worth now.
More photos. Had the pleasure to drive in the car today. Wow! is all I could say. Nice! I vaguely recall one of these being driven on the street in the USA. Is that true and is this one it? And I agree about the pricing comparison...the prices nearly a decade ago are basically irrelevant. An exaggerated example would be the McLaren F1...huge change since then.
This car has a title and a license plate, but it is not really street legal. With regard to pricing, " Its a whole different world that it was 30 seconds ago, and I want David ******* Putney". (Hope you get the reference).
It looks like the roof panel is similar in dimensions to the road car, but has a screw on each side near the front. Is it removable like the road car?
Interesting. Looks like an awful lot like this one that I saw. NY plates "CORSA" registered to a 2012 BMW M3 convertible. There can't be too many blue MC12 Corsas in the US. Hmmmm. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You sure? Your VIN is nearly identical to the one Maserati Ft. Lauderdale sold, which is the car GHG is referring to. https://www.maseratifl.com/used/MASERATI/2005-MASERATI-MC12-Fort+Lauderdale-634a0d800a0a00de36ba9d7af474edf3.htm 2AMDF44B000029439 ZAMDF4B000029439
Are these Corsas faster than the GT1s? They´re running without any kind of restrictors and the wing is wider.
I think I saw that one running back when it was new at Pocono Raceway. Aren't these the versions of MC12 that Maserati was supposed to come out and manage for track setup and maintenance hence the Corsa? I don't think these are street legal? Looks like this guy used another set of plates to get around that minor technicality?
This is the same car that was at Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale over a year ago. I don't know about the Corsa BMW Plate, but it showed up in our place with a different plate. In either case, this is not a street legal car, and driving it on the road with any plate is not advised.
Is it the one that was a Cavallino 2 years ago? The headlights surroundings seem different. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm a big fan of the MC12. We'll see them shoot up in value down the road, they're starting to catch on and change hands.
There was a Corsa converted for street use in the UK. I believe that one was black. There were also two regular/street MC12's converted to corsa spec by edo competition which ran on the streets. I don't believe its possible to convert it from race car to street car in the US and get away with it...legally.
Awesome! Do you have any photos of it without the top you could post? I would really appreciate it... I haven't seen any before like that. The MC12 is the most underrated/underappreciated supercar imo and it's a beast. I love it.
Saw one in person, it's absolutely HUGE. Would not want to drive that on the street it would be miserable. Gorgeous car though.
I think they're going to be like the F50 values as time goes on, in that, they're worth around whatever the current examples are selling for due to the low number available. JamesEdition had 2 listed at $1.2 & $1.5 million in Europe, but I've also seen one listed in the US at $2-$3 million.
