Not like a GTO apart from the 3 vents on the nose.

I saw your other pics including the one of the rear attached to this post and it looks more like a 275 GTB from the back. The whole thing is like a mongrel of a 250GT LWB TDF, 275GTB, Long Nose 250LM and 250 GTO.

I like it. He's blending all his favorite charactoristics into his own car.
Not unlike the Moal Gatto, or a chopped '36 Ford 3 window with DeSoto bumpers, and a LaSalle grill.

What are they building it on? From the steering wheel nothing Ferrari.

Who cares........you want a Ferrari re-creation to be a Ferrari. Pretty absurd.

I made no comment on what I wanted. Only an observation since many re-creations are Ferrari based.

What's wrong with asking that question???? Many recreations are (sadly) based on chopped Ferrari's. It's an entirely normal question to ask. I'm also curious what chassis it's built on. It looks like a pretty modern steering wheel, so it's good to see that a Ferrari isn't being sacrificed to build it.

How many of you armchair quarterbacks can form aluminum like that? The shape may not be as pretty as a Ferrari, but the craftsmanship is remarkable.

Bye the way, the motor was original 12 valve Ferrari.
    Already inside.

One valve per cylinder, is it?

Possibly 12 teeny valves per cylinder :) That would be a 'gross' overstatement...

    An engineering feat, no doubt...

Not a Ferrari, but not a bad looking car!

I think the shape, while not strict GTO, is a nice combo of forms. And these guys are doing it themselves?! That's impressive.

Ever since watching this video, I have a soft spot for guys like this. Way beyond my mechanical capability...

I think it looks great and the craftsmanship is clear. Anyone thinks it is rough looking and thus sub-standard does not know what a real Ferrari from the period looked like before they slathered it in filler for final prep.

I really admire the approach here - it's not an attempt to replicate any one Ferrari but is clearly a unique design heavily influenced by a number of Ferrari models from the 1950s and 60s. They are not trying to duplicate something Ferrari did - they are building their own concept based on their interpretation of the best of Ferrari design from the period.

I bet it will be a real hoot to flog around when complete.
