GTO-history is the issue here and that was also the background of the anniversary. Franklin’s and Lincoln’s inputs are interesting but ferrariP4’s high quality comparison with outstanding period pictures about the original shapes of the displayed GTOs far more informativ. Please keep posting! And that input was no ‘bashing’ at all of lovely Pictures or the event but highly interesting and constructive information about these important cars’ history, restauration and actual state. This is worth to debate and certainly not boorish and dull or "seemingly wanting to slate cars". Ridiculous!

But isn´t there an own thread for that? Called "more GTO chat"? Why spreading this discussion over several threads repearting the same things? Only makes it confusing...

    Hi Peter, yes and no
Yes many threads, but as there are too many replicas: how do we know what is real and is not.
Concourses, Tours, Shows, Club Races, Good Wood....are we talking about Ferraris or look-a-likes...

    :)

No own tread. Between then and the anniversary-display is vital history, which is eminently important for the displayed cars and highly interesting, like Ferrari4p’s period pictures showed. And of course, this very history – including pictures of the event – is clearly part of the GTO anniversary and important being debated.

Questions arise as the cars are being discussed and are best asked in the those threads at that time. Also the questions were not asked out of a need to slate or bash but out of genuine enthusiasm and interest in the details of the cars. They are what they are, but let's all go to La La Land instead and not risk upsetting the poor owners of these wonderful cars by asking and discussing relevant questions about them.

That's why I am posting period pics on the other thread and leave this one for the 55th anniversary pics.

What a lovely thread. Can't imagine how 3445 would look in person.
Curious approx. how many miles were covered for the whole tour? And did any of the cars encounter problems in the process?
