Can't get your hands on a Napa/Gates gold stripe hose #633 fast enough? try Gates 24026 coolant hose (41mm,1-5/8") hose. 12" for $10 at my local auto parts store. Pep Boys, Autozone, Napa - had nothing.
G'day from down under fellow Fchatters. For those in the USA who need to replace the seatbelts in their 3X8's I offer the following information! The belts used in all USA market cars was the Klippan model 4570. These are still available brand new from the Delorean Motor Company in Florida(www.dmcflorida.com) for $128.82 each. However the "Female"end(Buckle on the stalk, the belt plugs into)from the Delorean is too short for the 3X8 series cars. But I have discovered that the early Fiat X19 series 1,1.3 litre(1976/77/78 models) cars delivered to the U.S. used exactly the same Klippan Seat Belt (Model 4570)and the stalk and inertia reel mechanism is identical, correct length and type for all 3X8 series(Except GT4). I acquired some Fiat belts that were NOS AND THEY ARE PERFECT!! Hope this helps!!! Cheers Pete
Just bought a set of windscreen whipers for the Mondial The new design as fitted on all new cars The ones on my Mondeo lasted 4 years 1/2 before I needed to replace them More aerodynamical too Bosch Aerotwin A503s Perfect fit, 1 minute to install 21 Euro on ebay
From a previous post here, this is an update on a cam seals source for only $2.62 each. http://kscdirect.com/item/CR%2B19600/CR%2BSERVICES_19600%250A
As far as cam, crank seals, lower cam gear, air pump seals are concerned I would ALWAYS use the viton seal rather than the nitrile seal which is readily available for cheap $$. At engine operating temperature, a nitrile seal is operating at the limit of its heat performance. A viton seal can take over 400 degrees and live through it without an issue. The big advantage to viton seals is they last much longer and are more pliable than a hard nitrile seal which should be replaced with every major. Viton can go at least twice the time period without breaking a sweat. Granted they are about 5x more expensive, but FWIW I would not go without having them if available.
I have at least one of my rear brake bleeder screws that has a questionable seat, so I called Rutlands and Ricambi to see if I could order them, but they don't carry them except as part of the entire caliper assembly. So I took one of mine out and carried it to Advance Auto and it was easy to match it up, and for just a couple of bucks each. Dorman p/n # 13905 (M7 hex, M7-1.0 thread, 34mm overall length). It's common with many other imports, including Porsche, of course.
Exactly, not the parts to go cheap on, as the labor to do the job twice far exceeds the "savings" on the el cheapo seal!
With help from Brian Keegan, I've tracked down one of those hard to find hoses. Ferrari Part 115247 can be replaced with a Gates 21258 or NAPA 7969. They may be just a hair long and may need just a bit trimmed off. Don't expect your local shop to just have them on the shelf. Their true application is a 1975 to 1977 Ford F500 commercial truck so you may have to order them, but they are still readily available for $10-$12 each. You'll need two of them. These are the small 45 degree bend hoses that come off the "T" behind the water pump and feed into the heads through the port on the intake manifolds. Has any one a source for Headlight Switches. I have not pulledv mine out yet. Is there tips in getting it out. By the lack of replacement suggestions I guess it is not an item that gives much trouble. You bet I am ready to but in relays. Appreciate any suggestions. This is sure a great site. John
My appologies if I missed these in here M8-1,25x30mm (13mm head) Wheel well bolts - Body-Tite! Body bolts #45592 perfect replacement for ferrari's at Doorman products As mentioned in one thread - the 60mm PreHeater hose found at JC Whitney: trim to length And these are close, but not exact: Crown Bolt Finishing Washers #6. These can be found at Home Depot, but I like the brand at Pep Boys - closer match but hard to find. I'll post the manufacturer when I come across them again. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There's been many posts about Porsche caliper equivalency on this board. PMB Performance has a great post here. Snipping the relevant info from a few posts down
I saw a similar picture of an MGB just the other day and thought the same thing. The MGB only has one though and the fans on the ferrari are reversed for the other side. Aaron
Just bought an 87 3.2 Mondial Coupe and doing the long overdue major. Low and behold the brake pads were low and did not order any.
