The put in the tap. In some cases I started with a small tap and worked my way up to 12mm and in others I just started with the 12mm. Not sure which worked best.

Then with a lot of pressure try and recut the original threads. I did this many many times. If you are lucky a thread will cut which will catch the bolt.

After much time I got them all done. Yippy. I was then going to work on the other manifold when the tap handle broke. Need to figure out if it can be repaired.

As the tap handle was broken I thought I would try and clean up the repaired manifold. First I used the air hose to blow out and off all the little bits of metal from repair.

    Thanks Jason!

For some reason I can not see any of those diy tech threads through Tapatalk, but if I view through a web browser it works fine :). So many good service procedures in thAt sticky, so many parts to order and swap out! I am seriously contemplating pulling the engine and just doing everything, seems worth it. But I want to be done in the spring so I can drive it again!

Great thread so far my friend. BTW, Is the black 348 on post #207 yours also? And if so, will you be doing a thread on the car in the future?

Next I thought I'd try and reinstall the drivers side fuel tank. This includes the fuel fill pipe. This rubber gromet goes into the hole somehow.

The fill tube attaches with this black bracket. The two nuts shown attached the tube to the bracket and then there are two screws which hold the. Racket to the frame (not shown)

It was all going so well. But as I tried to install the tank the wheels started to come off the kart. The first problem was the tank was going up against the fuel pump as you can see in this pic.
