Thanks very much. How does the challenge drive in comparison to a standard 348? Is it a firmer ride and quicker steering? All the best, Andrew.
you are welcome. can't tell you this at the Moment, the first ride is still infront of me ;-) Will do it in Sept. or Okt this year, first I want to make a inspection, belt Change and things like this. What I like, the car is total original and full of history.
I owned 348CH #094285 (Rosso Corsa) for a number of years, but sold it about 2.5 years ago and replaced it with #098791 (Grigio Met.). The gray car got a little exercise at Sebring last Saturday, and seemed to run well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually, I prefer the gray one- the only Grigio Factory Challenge car, and it has F-40 brakes (added later)!
Both are fantastic. Look at the Poll, the 348 and 355 are way in front... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/challenge-cars/454473-what-most-collectible-ferrari-challenge-car.html Are your cars street legal?
I can't speak to Austrian law, but that's a complicated question in the US, where both state and federal laws pertain. For various reasons, that's not an issue I will discuss in a public forum. I will only say that there has been a lot of discussion on FChat about the legality of driving any Challenge car on the street, most of it by non-lawyers, and much of it, with all due respect, misinformed.
No, it just happens that I am working on a personal database with race results. The Challenge series are part of it... Do you know if chassis 81259 was raced by Ragazzi for the full 1993 season?
Lovely to see it still in it's original racing livery. Too many Challenge cars are simply just red, black or yellow. Racing history should be preserved.
