it was the engine bay that gave me 166. First OHOS i drove was a 166 so what body is it officially... you've got me getting books down now..... not a 166, not a 195, not 212..... give up
No doubt! The good news is that after a few years, solicitors tend to make pretty good money. Like you've said, if you put in and work hard and smart, the sky is the limit as far as how much one can earn; look at what reputable solicitors and barristers make! Right now, I'm thinking only of the next round of exams, and not further than that. If I get it right now, the rest will follow. Oh well, back to cars; all this talk of money is rather impolite
225 Sport Vignale I saw it before but couldn't see the little grills below the grill in your photos. Closer inspection they are there! edit: No, i'm still wrong. edit: Yes, I think it is...... It has the same rear side windows. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It took a lot of guesses. I knew it looked like a 212, so searched from there. I now know a lot more about the 166, 212 and 225! Well worth it I think! I have just found this article to confirm. It is about that very car, by the look of things.
A serial number search brings it up as a 212 Export Touring??? I gather they can easily be wrong though. They are generally far from complete.

Absolutely. When 360C mentioned his 275 GTB/4, I looked all over the place and watched the relevent section on a couple of Ferrari dvd's. Did the same thing with the 250 GT Lusso the other day when it was mentioned. Maybe I should get out more!
You would need Carl here to get any more specific. My knowledge is ok; but it's mostly from the 1960's onwards. Carl is a major league trainspotter.
The only reason I say this is the ones I found pics of had vents behind the front wheel arch like, dare I say, a QP.
Are there any SWBs still in Australia? I remember a dark green Lusso, the red Comp at the 99 Rally (which I believe has left the country) and the green one you've posted. BTW, I have some tape (I filmed) of the 99 National Rally at Jeff's shed; I'll lend it to you next time I see you if you're interested. Needless to say, a certain SWB occupies a fair amount of time on it!
Thanks for the link - now can someone explain how it fits (I presume) between the 166 and 212? This is a bit frustrating for me as my ex- ended up with the auto library - many thousands of dollars worth of books including the "red" books I bought him at Libreria del Automobilia in Milan and the Touring anthology that might have helped me here!
I WISH it was my 275 GTB/4. I never owned it; but I was it's caretaker for quite a while. Here is a shot of the engine from when JA rebuilt it in the early 90's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
