Pretty amazing event. I thought the tribute to their former and current Formula 1 drivers was the best part. They had a section at the end of the tribute devoted to Michael Schumacher. They began with one of Michael's inspirational quotes and projected "#KeepFightingMichael" afterwards. Ferrari also raised over $10 million for charity by donating the proceeds from the auction of the final LaFerrari Aperta. Only drawback was the rain. They were prepared and had umbrellas for the guests. The performers and cars ...... not so much. But the show continued on without a noticeable hitch.
The show was also later rebroadcast on RAI here in Italy. I'd love to find a way to get a recording of it!
If you live in Italy you can go to RAIPLAY, which is a video archive of past programs. (It won't play in other countries). Click the link and go to RAI Uno at 23.30h and you'll find the complete show, with some comments. http://www.raiplay.it/guidatv/?giorno=09-09-2017
That's fantastic, Alberto! I'm glad you're having a great time and thank you for sharing that with us! Kind regards, Nuno.
anbother set. Always in Piazza Roma, Modena, saturday September 09. The big tall building with the Italian flag is the "Palazzo Ducale", now a military facility like West Point in the USA ciao
another set. You can see here also the famous Testarossa spider handcraftet for Gianni Agnelli, Fiat and Ferrari owner. And the special 250 Zagato, one of the two made
Ok, have anyone here spotted the sisters Laf & LafA there? The first had Spanish plates and the second from Andorra. Seemed like they were husband and wife or father and daughter.
Thanks for posting, Alberto. Lovely photos. I shall watch the TV programme as soon as I can set my VPN to an Italian location. My host kindly arranged a tour of the Palazzo Ducale when I was in Modena in 2015, collecting my Granturismo from the factory. It is absolutely fascinating. Among the alumni of the academy was Francisco Barracca, he of the prancing horse logo. Well worth a visit if you can arrange it, but you can't just turn up on spec., as it is still officially a military establishment.
Fantastic day in Ferrari 70°,I stay into the circuit and can see some of the most famous car everbuilt!!5 California together!!!And special peoples!!!!
I have just watched the introduction to the programme. Ironic that when Marchionne starts speaking in English, the commentator kindly translates it into Italian for me! What a shame that, on such a special occasion, Ferrari has to be represented by someone in an old jumper - surely he could have stretched to a jacket and tie for once. LCDM was always so elegantly turned out. Gianni Agnelli must be turning in his grave.

Could have been better but still: what a weekend! Here's my album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1537908806269859.1073742051.173013032759450&type=1&l=d1d2a1b12e.
It was a fun time as even Piero Ferrari was wearing a sweater! It was the F1 guys who came wearing their dark blue suits...
I guess I am showing my age! It seems to me that Ferrari has lost its sense of style and elegance, whether it be the way the chairman dresses or the cars look.
Well it seems Luca di Montezemolo and Pininfarina are both just happy memories now. But it wasn't always so... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
