That's in Sparklecity? Are you saying that there is someone in SC that owns a P4? Not impossible, we did have a real 250 GTO show up in Anderson where it was restored. The only place I know that does that kind of work in SC is GTM. They do the old cars.

This shop only works for a very select crowd and maintains their private collections here in Spartanburg. None of the owners are FCA Members, and value their privacy. This shop doesn't advertise at all.

I just needed to speak to the owner about a business matter.

    Great People.

So let's talk more about the P4, these are known and so are the owners. Real or not? I think there are only three of these, no? Perhaps he is one of the known owners or this need to be updated? If so, it would be even rarer than having the GTO in Anderson, and that was simply unbelievable. Never would have believed it if I had not seen it. There are a few billionaires in Sparkle and if local, well there you go.

0846 no longer exists. Its number was cancelled by Ferrari after it was decided by the factory to discard the chassis to the Ferrari scrapyard due to its previous accident history and fire damage sustained at Le Mans, 1967.
0856 remains in its original state and is owned by Lawrence Stroll
0858 was converted into a 350 Can-Am by Ferrari[7] but is now fitted with a replica P4 Coupe body.
0860 was also converted by Ferrari to a 350 Can-Am but is presently wearing a replica P4 Spyder body and is in a French automobile museum
    P4 replicas[edit]

    A ZA-built Bailey-Edwards Ferrari P4 replica, powered by a BMW V-12, South Africa.
Due to the great fame and sleek appearance of the original design, more than a hundred P4 replicas of various design have been built. A high-quality P4 replica built with a genuine Ferrari engine (e.g., a 400i V12) may command as much as $200,000, but simpler ones (often with Rover engines and Renault drive-trains) can bring in around $50,000.

There have also been replica chassis built:

0003 is a replica built by David Piper using a chassis built by Silvano Cantelli in Modena and Mario Allegretti. The car currently has a Ferrari 312 F1 36-valve engine.
0900 was a continuation commissioned and currently owned by David Piper
0900a is another currently unfinished continuation also owned by Piper
0900b is a third continuation, but is still under construction. Its frame was made in the 2000s by Piper for an American customer.

The owner of that Boxer doesn't own a P4.

He had a 330GTC which he sold a couple of years ago.

He still has his 1967 Bentley T, his father's XK120 as well as a number of other lovely cars.

Yes, same person. I doubted when they said it was a P4. 330GTC makes much more sense.

    Yawn. :)

Guy buys beautiful red Ferrari and it sits in a garage because owner wants "privacy" and is so concerned about it he doesn't let you take a picture of the entire car? Why even post if they're no members of FCA... :)
More interested in the collection on Kiawah that has a LaFerrari in it..

I know the owner and this is a misrepresentation of his nature.

He, his wife (and at least one son) are interested in these old cars and they often take them to car shows. He is an open and delightful man.

I suspect the story got a bit distorted because the owner of the little garage did not have the owner's permission for others to photograph clients' cars (a reasonable policy) so he probably said not to take identifying photos. Just my guess.

    Cool.. my bad then.
I just rubs me the wrong way when someone buys a car like a Ferrari then has it sit in some garage until the kids sell it at an estate sale. Unfortunately it's something that is seen with these cars too often IMHO. I'm a fan of the 512bb and "should" have bought one when they were sub-$100k!

Per my source at the DMV there are over 60+ Fcars registered in Spartanburg County, yet I've only ever seen 4 or 5 out.
