One owner & same address from new. I think this jewel deserves a bit more than a polish. Completely unmodified, it runs! 1977 California car.

Hello Joe, can you tell me if the car is for sale and provide additional information ie service history, photos and asking price?

I own a small pre-owned Porsche business here in Ontario.

Ive owned 2 of these iconic 3 liter cars. In fact one of them was one of the USA prototypes, 0014, the oak green car.

the early 3.o litre cars are so under valued for what they are.

try finding one without a sunroof, foglamps, headlamp washer, power windows, power mirrors or console in the usa.... i would have taken an extra gear in place of those any day.

there is plenty of stuff 930 came with that you dont need. 930 were heavily laden with luxury junk that weighed it up especially in the later intercooler models

they are addicting to drive and the earliest sans the chunky wing ones are the prettiest imo

    cheers

PS, i hope the blue car is saved without turning it to some sort of pseudo RSR wannabe. there are enough of those out there already

A few years ago, a seller on Mobile.de had a car with no sunroof, leather and a.c. !!!

Most of the cars imported into the USA, as new cars, were loaded up with soft luxury accessories.

Over-production is the only reason, a perfect car is not priced in-line, with the typical Countach and Boxer models, of the day.

In addition, the model does require significant mechanical upkeep.

A factory 'unmodified' M506 factory slantnose car, is under-valued when you take into account the low production#'s, performance, and curb appeal. The unmodified special wishes cars, are quite scarce.

    ________

    Joe,

Nice looking car with a difficult to find livery.

    Slate grey.

I believe it is a 1975, with passenger door mirror added later and 3.3 liter larger wheels mounted.

totaly agree on this. i think the 3.0 930s are the most signifcant street car Porsche has ever made and (and probably will ever make). i would prefer to have onve instead of my 79, but couldn't find a good one when i was looking.

    Great picture!
Steel Wings had that particular Porsche for sale some time ago. Quite a storied past to that one. Displayed with a dummy motor for the car shows and then later a motor was added and sold on to Australia only to be raced, sold, rebought, sold again ...
Not really a Turbo as presented but a very interesting model with lots of history behind it!

i agree. i think it can be expanded to say the 930 is one of the ...if not the most significant sports cars ever made. i would not limit the significance to just porsche.

the 930 was a beast from inception to end.
