I need to buy a solenoid for my TR but the Ace Electric web site is non-functional. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

it's on its way. It sucks having that not work right. We took the TR to a bar saturday night, then my buddy wanted to leave to go meet girls and I was like "uhhh we can't leave till the car cools off" LOL.

Kelly -- (In response to your PM) The TR start command food chain is battery -to- ignition switch -to- w connector -to- y connector -to- C11 connector (under coolant tank) -to- terminal 50 on the starter solenoid.

First thing to confirm/deny is if the dash gauges and lights all seem to work OK when the non-start happens -- if they didn't work well, then the focus would be more upstream. If they do work well (but it's a non-start):

    Try unplugging/inspecting/reseating the w, y, and C11 connectors -- check for any burning/damage/corrosion/etc:

My thinking is that if the voltage on terminal 50 at the starter is reaching 8~9V minimum when the key is in pos III (start), and the solenoid doesn't engage, get a new WAI solenoid. If the voltage on terminal 50, is below ~8V, you need to dig deeper into the electrical path and find where the big voltage drop is occurring.

Thanks Steve. We'll check all of this out later in the week and post our results. Hmmm, we noticed that the coolant tank had only 1/4 inch of coolant in it. I'm wondering if there is a small leak in the tank that is dripping water onto the electrical connector below the tank and causing corrosion on that connector. Thanks for posting the pictures.

This is the same solenoid that I fitted to my car last night.

A few strange things. Inside the genuine solenoid plunger is a spring about 9mm dimaeter which fits over a brass nipple in the body of the solenoid and goes up inside the conical shaped end of the plunger.

The WAI solenoid didn't have this spring with it so I had to re-use the Ferrari spring in the WAI solenoid.

Also the WAI has an external spring on the tongue part at the end of the plunger that locks in to the starter motor.

This part isn't there on the original Bosche component so I removed and disgarded it.

I want to sincerely thank everyone that offer to help me, specially Jeff, Steve, and many others,
Jeff even shipped a EHA brake out harness with factory plugs from Canada so I could get a good reading of the mA for tuning, but I have other problems and could not get to the mA reading I need 7-10
so I continue to run the car without the Lambda system until I have the time to concentrate and find the problem. I have a new problem (hot no crank) but was able to deal with it. Again Thank you all
