I`m looking for an original Nart sticker from the late 1960`s for my Nart Dino #00306 Marcel was already helpful in providing a replica sticker (reproduction) but I would like to have an original one too. The size of the sticker seems to be approx.: 136x194mm See attached a picture of the sticker on a Daytona beginning of the 1970s Any help and comments appreciated. My guess is the size is about right... even after you trim off the white with a scalpel and metal straight edge. I bet the colour's fine as well, given the bluish cast of the photo.
we are getting closer to finish the engine..... the 2 liter engine looks so much nicer than the 2,4 liter one... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I hope to be finished by mid of the year.... I´m still looking for a picture of the rear taken at race day at Sebring or at the N.Y. Int. Auto Show in April 1969...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Matthias, where do you buy those car covers? I bought one from Superformance but it does not fit like the stock one for my 430.
Matthias, Really beautiful! In the old photos it looks like GoodYear racing tires which are still available as Blue Streaks Goodyear Race Tires || Sports Car. It's also possible to take a DOT tire and shave/polish the sidewalls bald and smooth and put on any vintage stenciled painted graphics in case it's a TUV issue. Shaved side wall ????? - THE H.A.M.B. Diamondback does this service on new tires Why Choose Us? | Diamond Back Classic White Wall Tires - Vintage Tires - Redline & Redline Radial Tires for Antique and Classic Cars Freeman
thanks Freeman, the problem is Goodyear doesn`t offer the size (5.50 / 9.20 - 14) any longer... so I thought BFG Goodrich looks at least close..... difficult topic, as shaving isn`t perfect too....
Matthias, I agree. Tires are a deep topic. The first time I saw a set of bald/shaved sidewalls was on Bruce Canepa's 427 Cobra on the lawn at Pebble Beach. They were modern radials with a generic tread pattern. Looked vintage correct on the car. Freeman
Matthias, Its also possible to take a slick racing tire and have them carve a custom tread. Roger Kraus Racing does that. Freeman
Does anybody have any idea regarding the seat belts used in my Nart-Dino in 1969? Any help appreaciated. The picture shows Sam Posey sitting in the Dino with the seat belts on. Regards Matthias Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just wondering if you had contacted Sam P about the NART Dino? He might have some thoughts/memories/memorabilia that he might be willing share with you. It would be interesting to have him post here about his experiences with the car. If you can't reach him, maybe Freeman can. (Sorry, Freeman, to have dragged you into this!!!) Mark
