Some of the other mods (etc) may be tasteless (especially to collectors), but everyone has a right to their individuality. However, I have heard of Ferrari going after extreme cases, such as someone's trademark on the car. Does anyone recall the Steve McQueen 250 GT Lusso - in Brown!? FWIK, it is worth quiet a bit. [/QUOTE] I like Steve McQueen Ferrari in picture below and would never post it in a hypothetical thread "Are these the ugliest 250 GT Lusso's ?" Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure the exact color code, but the brown McQueen Lusso is gorgeous, especially with the beige interior, and the diamond stitching. Some of the folks doing wrap jobs (I pray they're wrap jobs!) in this thread could learn a bit from the King of Cool. T

Assuming he bought it in period, this would be Mrs. King of Cool. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neile_Adams Very pretty lady. T

Ahhh. Something to inspire some of the owners of these F12s towards better (well, more F-chat approved!) design choices. T
Tom, aesthetic reeducation can always be attempted and like you say the best way to start is by showing great examples of what's automobile timeless beauty.
Still on the subject of Steve mcqueen FERRARI 250 GT Lusso and about the hypothetical thread "Are these the ugliest 250 GT Lusso's ?", after a comprehensive search I haven't found a single picture of a car that could be posted. To my eye all the ones I've seen look beautiful. The one on the picture below named mini FERRARI 250 GT Lusso 1963, may be is the only exception. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Seeing the beautiful images of a 250GT Lusso that Mário and Tom were talking about, on a thread with the most hiddeous F12's I've ever seen in my life, has made this image pertinent, in my humble opinion! Kindest regards, Nuno. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do they sell Pepto Bismol in Portugal? It is for treating upset stomachs and is very pink. That poor F12 gives me a belly ache. I think I'd need the large size bottle. T
Nuno, you couldn't have chosen two better pictures in order to illustrate the differences between an elegant Ferrari and a travestied one. Some car designers see themselves as fashion creators which means they have to be always in the move introducing new tendencies. However many of the times when they want to be very original, breaking away with the tested elegance of the past, the result is the 2017 picture you posted.
Tom, Pepto Bismol is sold here and your color analogy is perfect because the pinks match perfectly. You gave me an idea, let's suggest to Procter & Gamble Company the pink F12 picture and a new slogan for the next publicity campaign. " Ferraris are know to cure many aches but Pepto Bismol just the upset stomaches "
Just a small correction to the previous slogan. "Ferraris are known for curing many aches but Pepto Bismol just the upset stomaches "
My PR campaign... - Boring car? - Exhaust note uninspiring? - Tired of over-size wings? - Not spending enough on petrol? - Mid life crisis? 5 problems. 1 solution. Ferrari* T * Warning - covering your Ferrari in a goofy vinyl wrap diminishes its effectiveness. Please don't do it!
The only thing keeping me from laughing any harder is (a) I own a Cali, and (b) my wife would buy this in a second, if I showed it to her. T
