C'mon Vegas, your story stinks of bull$$-t!! If it is being 'painstakingly restored' then why were pictures of this car already shown on this site last year ?? Also, previously it was being restored in the US (hence LHD); Why would a Japanese 'zillionaire' send his LHD (?) to an Australian tin shed for resto etc when there are capable shops in Japan ?? You say it is to be painted in red; I have news for you; the car was finished some time ago and here are some pics. Was out yesterday and Ferraris seemed to be everywhere: Spotted a red 328GTS around 11am at Bondi Junction Then a 355 Berlinetta also red on Oxford Street around 3pm and a red 360 outside Museum Station a few minutes later. Also saw an awesome Aston DB6 at Bondi Beach - great stuff
i've seen a red 360 number plate 69 a few times, acutally the same spot, Doncaster Rd entering the Freeway towards the city. a 430 on Doncaster Road, but u've probolly already know that. a silver Modena last saturday going towards flemington, number plate BNKRPT, funny i throught that plate was used on a Lamborghini Diablo Roadster. Saw a silver 275 GTB 2 Cam in a Ferrari Work shop, the most stunning Ferrari, acutally any car, i have ever seen. the perfection in the restoration and the quality of built is just sensational!
I saw the BNKRPT silver 360 on Saturday night parked outside a cafe in Chapel St- says it all really....... The 275 GTB was restored by the same people who did my 308GTB. As you said, absolutely stunning restoration. Terrible shame that the owner passed away before the car was finished and he got to drive it. To my knowledge it hasn't been driven since the resto finished. The 430 is AHG's and it is still the only one in Melbourne; but not for long. The first 430 Spider arrives this week.
wow! i was told that he is one of John's good customer and friend. it's a shame, i really admire that gentleman. I've never seen any one that is so delicated at his work and two word about him "no bull!" i can just imagine the great work on the 308 GTB in your garage.
Here is my 308: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57786 John Allan did the mechanicals and Ken Ward did the paint, same as the 275GTB. The 275 was owned by Rado N. and he was a long term customer of John's. He had quite a few Ferraris and they were all maintained by John.
stunning, one of the prettiest ferrari ever made. i wish i could just buy a car like that after uni haha, next life, or perhaps i can work harder and smarter so my son can buy it off me.... u got taste!
oh my god...oh my god....i was riding my push bike home this morning (daddy hasn't given me petrol money this week) and I saw a red 360F1 in my street. But wait......there's more.......its headlights were on.........but wait there's more........the windscreen wipers were going due to the rain.....sorry...no pic
your dad's a tight arse, get him to fork out for a digi camera and some gas money... we NEED these photos of RED Ferraris!!! I've never seen one, are they pretty ????
that was mine! waiting to see your F355, but when i saw you on a push bike, i throught to my self, just another kid trying to be cool on internet. oh yeah, there is a member of the council in Melbourne Uni drives a Red 360 F1, haha, the guy got a disable parking permit as well hahaha. its funny.
If you do a ferrarichat search, you MIGHT find a photo of a red ferrari...maybe even a 360 and, finally, maybe even an F1 model! good luck.
gee PP you're such a spoilt rich kid. You're daddy bought you a push bike - is it red? One day I hope to own a red pushbike. Perhaps we can start a thread?
extra news.....tadaaaaaaaa....that 360's still parked in my street...but wait, there's more...the interior is TAN!!! that'll make the search for a pic much harder!
haha, next thing you gonna tell us that you and your mate is going to badge the ferrari and put it on your bike. a ferrari bike!
